I have noticed that many home tower speakers are not so endowed with a tweeter that can reproduce high hats from drums or a true "S" sound in singing. They are more "soft" sounding fabric dome and tend to poorly reproduce the very high end. This wouldn't be so bad if you could just make up for the deficiency using an EQ, but you can't. Adding this Alpine tweeter to my home system replaced the true recorded sound and I can reduce it by turning down the 15K+ response in my receiver EQ. They're probably the best sounding tweeters I've used. But as seen in my pics, clearly they are Chinese remakes judging by the multiple "made in China" labels everywhere lol. Still, they look great and sound great. Mounting took some work as there's no threaded hole on the back to be able to mount it, and the outer trim ring is really easy to pop off, making it easy to fall apart, but otherwise I'm happy. ... show more

I have a Jeep YJ and had to move my Tweeters for a cage that's getting installed. Tried to 3d print some pods, no avail. For the price? You really can't beat this kit. I only used the pods, as I like my Alpine Tweeters.

Honestly not Alpine quality. The product looks like it was packed in a garage and then put into an alpine box. Nothing on the speaker indicates that it is alpine. The sound is not great but not terrible. I really, really hate that there are no instructions to indicate what wires are what and I had to use a battery to determine. Also, seems shady that there are relatively no videos on these things. I installed them and had to cut holes in my doors to fit them, but hate the fact that the back does not actually prevent the speaker from.popping forward. I had to super glue the front cap to prevent it from popping outward. Totally insane application. I have to live with it now since I made holes. Hopefully they last and don't pop on me anytime soon. ... show more

I'm sure these are great tweeters. But they are not designed to put out nowhere near 320 watts. All mfg. literature rate the m at no more than 150 peak watts and run at no more than 50 watts. Buyer beware!
