It works great, is light weight and did what I needed it to do to perform a paint correction. The power switch could be smoother but that is minor. I'd buy it again.

I have another brand polisher, however it's a 10" lower RPM car wax buffer. It did not help me with oxidized paint on my Tahoe. This unit with 6 speeds and 6400rpm has plenty of power for the casual user. So far I've restored my 2001 Tahoe's hood and working on the roof next. This unit comes with 4 different pads, a D-handle, a straight handle and a microfiber cloth. I ordered this item because my older car needed a wax and polishing. I haven't been successful in doing this job by hand but this buffer made quick work of it. It took me a few minutes to learn how to handle it but once I felt comfortable using it - no problems at all. For the price it’s not a bad tool, especially if you’re using it every once in a while. The pads are nice and the size/ weight is great. The vibration is actually pretty manageable compared to other higher end polishers. That being said, it will stall with not a lot of pressure unless you’re using a higher speed. ... show more

    • Powerful but dumb power switch
I got this to detail my neighbors cars and my future projects and it does a fantastic job it comes with plenty of pads and just use normal pad you can get replacements all day. It has a ton of power and can easily take the paint OFF your car so be careful, The power switch is a push forward type but it locks in place and it's extremely hard to turn off. When I first got it the power switch was on so when I plugged it up the thing went crazy cause it was also on max speed. There's no indication of what is on or off and when i picked it up and tried to turn it off it was so hard to figure out how you have to press down on the back of the power button for it to unlatch an go into the off position which requires you to remove your finger completely when you press down. It took me forever to figure it out. Other than that panicked trial of trying to turn it off it is a great machine it does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well. Once I get more compound I'll be doing a whole car instead of just a small test spot but I can't wait to do a whole car as it's gunna look great. ... show more

I haven't used it yet but it comes with a lot of pads and for the price point you really can't complain too much. I don't want to invest a lot in something I won't use that often so this is perfect for that.
