    • The plates are great, the bar is dangerously low-quality.
Love the plates, they're exactly what I wanted. I've since bought more plates from CAP, will continue to do so. They're cheap, they're heavy, you can put them on a bar. 5 stars, would recommend. All in all however, I recommend against buying this set. The bar doesn't weigh anything close to what it's advertised (or to any form of standard barbell), the knurling may as well not be there, and it constantly sheds paint and metal slivers. If you want cap plates go for it, no complaints there. if you want a bar-and-plates set: shop around. Places like york barbell or bells of steel sell basically the same set (at the same or similar pricing) with a much better barbell that weighs what it's supposed to and doesn't run the risk of hepatitis. ... show more
