  • very tiny morsels
Flavor Name: Lamb
I sprinkle these over a mix of home cooked stuff and canned to offer a range of nutrition. My dogs eagerly eat it. That’s all I care about.

  • My dog’s favorite
Flavor Name: Salmon & Shrimp
All my dogs love all of their dog food varieties. Reasonable price and easy to put into bowls. Great product for older dogs who can’t chew anymore

  • Great for those with adult dogs and puppies
Flavor Name: Duck & Turkey
The latest addition to my family would not eat her puppy food. She wanted whatever her 8 year old brother was having and would steal the food from his bowl. Our vet recommended us mixing dry food with wet food for all life stages and that's how we found the Canidae brand. I like the variety of flavors, as my picky eaters get bored of one flavor so I have to switch things up often. Now I don't need to worry about them eating out of each other's bowls since they eat the same food! ... show more

  • Sent wrong item, customer service was a big help
Flavor Name: Lamb & Carrots
I ordered the lamb and received chicken flavor, my dog is allergic to chicken and to my surprise its non-refundable. The item itself gets 5 stars, the lamb flavor makes my yorkie go crazy, i mix it with his kibble to encourage him to eat a full portion. We feed same brand of the freeze dried coated kibble in lamb or salmon flavor. Update: connected with a real human in customer service and they refunded my payment ... show more

  • Dog did not care for it
Flavor Name: Chicken & Peas
My dog is a picky eater and unfortunately he would not eat this - he usually eats most food with chicken in it but he did not care for this product.

  • Hard to guarantee not all are spoiled.
Flavor Name: Turkey & Green Beans
So the product its self is good, portion and things my dog likes and I buy this monthly on chewy but sometimes I need 1 more 12 pack between chewy orders and I have prime shipping so I figure save a few bucks and get 1 pack on amazon so im not paying shipping on Chewy for 1 pack. I have bought on amazon many times like this but every now and then theres 3-4 cans ( plastic container) is clearly... Spoiled... I dont think dog food is suppose to be super puffy in its container... So i tend to throw those away but like... Thats half my 12 pack and leaves me needing to buy AGAIN to make it between orders...... I feel amazon needs some sort of perishable replacement option? Because I cant return somethings Ive used half of.... Since I needed the ones that where still good... And it doesnt let me get a replacement either.... So.... Cool..... Shoulda just ate the shipping fee at Chewy or prepare to over buy on my monthly orders I suppose.... I shared a picture of this current pack I got... Its not past exp date but somehow it still spoils... ... show more

  • SPOILED or MISLABELED - Do Not Buy!
Flavor Name: Salmon & Sweet Potato
DO NOT FEED THIS TO YOUR DOG! There's something horribly wrong with it! I'd previously bought the same salmon/sweet potato Canidae food at my local pet store, trying to find a salmon based food for my dog who has food sensitivities. We had nine cans of it, and my dog liked it and was doing well on it. When we were getting low on it, I ordered more from Amazon. The first can I opened from the new case did not look the same as what we bought locally, didn't smell the same, and had a different texture. I checked the expiration date, and the food was not expired. At that point I incorrectly assumed that Canidae had reformulated their recipe, and I fed some of the new food to my dog. Unfortunately she became ill and vomited several times throughout the day. This food has either gone bad, or they've put the wrong product in the cans. I don't know if it's spoiled, or perhaps if it's a different flavor, but either way, Canidae's quality control is very poor. After my dog vomited the first time, I came back to the Amazon website to see if other's had a problem with this food, and saw other reviews stating that their order of dog food also looked and smelled different. Please read all the reviews to understand that my problem with this food is not unique. There's definitely something wrong with this and it should not be fed to your pet! I called Canidae to report the problem and request a refund. Based on the barrage of questions they asked me, it seemed that they wanted to blame me for letting my dog eat something else (she hadn't eaten anything else), and deny that there was a problem with their food. I let them know that there were similar reviews here on Amazon, and that they should be aware of a serious, perhaps life threatening problem with their food. As for my refund request, they denied it and offered me a coupon to buy more food. I had to escalate my request to a manager who also could not provide me with a refund. I gave Canidae a try, but this problem is just too severe for me to trust them with the health of my dog again. I will never buy Canidae again, and a coupon is worthless to me. Fortunately, Amazon made an exception to their policy of not accepting returns on dog food, and refunded my money. Even more importantly, my dog seems to be feeling a bit better today. Please don't buy this food for your dog. It should be recalled, but probably won't be. It's not fit for consumption! ... show more
