I am loving these skates! I have about 40 hours in on them so far, and they have performed very well. I have been an avid roller skater for most of my life, but fell out of the habit in the past few years. I started skating again, but my old speed skates were a low-profile boot with no ankle support, so I purchased these to help support my weaker ankles. The boot is synthetic, not leather, so it is a bit stiffer initially than a leather boot would be, but that was helpful for me. I found that if I didn't use the top lace/hook, I had the ankle support and the flexibility I needed. They run true to size, but I found that the boot had a bit more space around my foot, top and bottom - not end to end, so I use double socks and that makes for a perfect fit. The wheels they used are a great choice, they provide just the right grip in an indoor or outdoor setting for most types of skating. Aside from their comfort and functionality, they are absolutely adorable. Each time I've worn them, someone stops me to ask me where they can buy a pair. I bought these as an upgrade for my old skates, because I didn’t have the funds to splurge on them Moxies. However, the quality of these skates is fantastic. They are made of faux suede, but they’re vibrant and sturdy. The boot is hard which adds for stability and they run a little wider than my old skates. The only down side is the tongue, which is much softer than the boot, and is hard to keep in place. We love these skates. We bought a pair for each of our daughters for Christmas. The skates fit great and the girls love gliding around the rink. The boots fit as expected, we ordered size 8, 6 and 5. The wheels are very smooth, the boots seem very well made. The colors were perfect. All in all they are a great quality, in my opinion. My only complaint is about the tongue. There is a wrinkle in the center when the skates are laced up and it won't smooth out. Also, the tongue seems to be a bit short, so when the laces are done all the way to the top, the tongue actually ended at the hook below it. We would purchase them again, and probably will when the two younger ones out grow them.     • Awesome beginner skate
I got these skates as a beginner skate for myself to have something to do during quarantine. They arrived quickly, and are true to size, very comfortable. A lot of skates run in men's sizes, but not these!! If you're not looking to drop $300 on a pair of skates as a beginner, these are perfect. The wheels rolled right out of the box, no adjusting necessary. I will say that the trucks are a little tight, and bubbles can be difficult, so you might want to loosen them. I'm also going to be relaxing the toe stop with a slightly bigger one. Other than that, perfect skates for me to learn on!! So glad I didn't have to pay an arm and leg for good quality skates. I've seen some people say their Candis last them years, so I'm excited! ... show more

    • Good price and fast shipment!
I was pleased with the timing in shipment - they were supposed to arrive within a week/10 days and I was willing to wait because it’s so hard to get skates right now...but they actually arrived in two days! The brand is good, nice stitching on the boot - they were nicely packaged and well priced. Like any other skate they will need to be broken in, so I gave it a 3 star for now because they are new and stiff. I bought an ankle padding support sock to help while I’m “shaping them”. The wheels are appropriate for skating outdoors, smooth ride on pavement. Be careful if you are new to skating and you are on a smooth surface because they will be slippery ;). Color is like in the picture. I wear a 6 and 1/2 in women (37 EU) and ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly! ... show more

    • A Good Pair of Roller Skates
This is a solid and inexpensive roller skate. Plenty of padding and ankle support for a beginner skater. They were ready to roll right out of the box. My wife and daughter like to use these as their extra pair of skates. The wheels are great for the outdoors, but they have used them indoors as well. After a couple of weeks of owning the Candi Girls, I bought my daughter a Moxi Beach Bunny and I bought my wife a Moxi Lolly. The main difference they noticed between the Moxi and the Candi is that the Candi has a longer break-in time where the Moxi has little to no break-in time. Also the Moxi wheels and bearings are better. So if you’re going to be doing some casual roller skating or if you’re going to do street/skatepark skating and doing a lot of tricks these skates will definitely perform well for you. ... show more

    • I'm a beginner
I have looked into roller skates and done some research on them before going in head first. I love these. I have worn them maybe a dozen times now for about an hour to 2 hours each time. for me the only thing that could use improvement is that the tongue is flimsy. I have read other reviewers talk about this too. It is a little hard to hold the tongue in place and pull the laces tight so help may be needed. The boot is nice and stiff and provides great support. I have always had weak ankles to the point of doctors suggesting surgery. So buying these was a risk for my ankles but I have little worries now about that. I skate in a park so the ground is not super clear, but these handle that pretty well. Others have commented that the boot seems narrow. I have average size feet ( a size 7 in most shoes) so I ordered my normal size 7. I don't feel that they are narrow. So far I have nothing bad to say about these! I love these roller skates!!! My six-year-old took this photo for this review while we were at the roller rink. They look so pretty in person. The skates are comfortable and can go fast if you want. You can also move at a regular speed. The laces have adjustable hooks on the top tiers so you can tie them low or high. Super cute when on and very fun to skate in.
