FIT: I'm usually an 8.5, but sometimes get a 9 for athletic shoes for the toe room. I got a 9 in the skates and im glad I did! They fit very well, even for my long, skinny, goonie-goo-goo feet. I love the top hooks unlaced and loop the laces around my ankles and then make a bow. It's super cute and gives my ankles a little more flexibility. I haven't skated in years and these skated definitely made me feel more comfortable and stable while getting back to rolling around. The condition of these skates is amazing. They look and feel like very nice quality, and I've gotten a lot of stares and smiles when I skate past people. I would definitely suggest spending a little more money (compared to the cheaper options on amazon) and go with these skates because it is definitely worth it. PS : Bell sells a helmet that is the exact same shade as the teal skates and together they look so stinkin cute! I got the helmet at walmart for about $30 I believe ... show more

Overall these are great skates, the good definitely outweighs the bad! I have owned these for about a year, and they have worked great for me! I've skated for many years now, mostly indoors, but I wanted something I could skate on outside. I didn't want to use my expensive rink skates outside for obvious reasons, but also didn't want to fork up $300 for a pair of moxies. These were the perfect solution! I can skate comfortably on them for 2 hours, or over depending on the day. Comfort is gonna vary per person though. I can also be hard on skates, and these have held up to my constant abuse! Keep in mind lighter colors will get dirty quickly, if that's an issue for you get the dark blue, or pink. I chose the mint ones, and they got dirty very quickly, doesn't really bother me, but just a heads up. I would recommend these to anyone just getting into skating, they have great ankle support which is very important when starting out! You can also take them inside, I see these skates on others at the rink all the time, they work, and look great! Overall these skates are reliable, durable, and will get you to where you want to go. They are cute, but keep in mind they are not the most comfortable skate out there! If you plan on skating outside a lot I'd say pay the extra money, and invest in a pair of moxies, or boardwalks. But for the price, these are gonna be your best bet! Onto the technical stuff! The boot itself is kind of stiff, and there is a lot of extra room in the toe area, but overall I say they fit nicely. The tounge is pretty flimsy, which can be uncomfortable, but not a dealbreaker. The plate is on the heavier side, but is also durable! I haven't had any issues with the trucks, but keep in mind they don't come with a skate tool, if you don't have one, I'd recommend buying one, you'll want to adjust the trucks and wheels to your preference. The wheels are big and gummy, great for the outdoors! They roll smoothly, and go over rough terrain nicely. Lastly these do come with bolted on toe stops, so they can't be adjusted up and down, which is a bummer, I prefer my toe stops to be a bit shorter, but also not a deal breaker, just a personal preference. Just received my skates today. I have the rasberry color with light blue shoe strings, toe stoppers, and wheels. True to fit your actual shoe size. Already laced however are very stiff. Hopefully they will stretch. Nice color and texture. Looks better in person. The wheels spin/roll as they should. Tried to skate on my kitchen floor however very slippery and could not balance. Was able to keep balance on the carpet. This is my first time being on skates since I was about 9 or 10 years old. I am 45 but I really want to learn how to skate backwards. I will prevail. These skates are just perfect! I'm so glad I went ahead and ordered them instead of having to go through renting the old, nasty skates at the roller rink again. My feet were comfortable the entire time. I laced through the 1st rung of the top section and tied off there. My ankles were well supported and there was no pinching from stiffness. Other reviewers complained about the tongue of the boot hurting when wrinkled. That is a simple fix by just flattening the tongue out around your foot before lacing. The wheels were smooth and glided much better than rental skates. I would definitely buy these again. *Just an update 2.5 yrs later: Still loving these skates! I’ve worn them several times and they are still great! ... show more

    • Awesome skates that exceeded my expectations!
I am loving these skates! I have about 40 hours in on them so far, and they have performed very well. I have been an avid roller skater for most of my life, but fell out of the habit in the past few years. I started skating again, but my old speed skates were a low-profile boot with no ankle support, so I purchased these to help support my weaker ankles. The boot is synthetic, not leather, so it is a bit stiffer initially than a leather boot would be, but that was helpful for me. I found that if I didn't use the top lace/hook, I had the ankle support and the flexibility I needed. They run true to size, but I found that the boot had a bit more space around my foot, top and bottom - not end to end, so I use double socks and that makes for a perfect fit. The wheels they used are a great choice, they provide just the right grip in an indoor or outdoor setting for most types of skating. Aside from their comfort and functionality, they are absolutely adorable. Each time I've worn them, someone stops me to ask me where they can buy a pair. They are absolutely worth the price. ... show more
