  • This part seriously messed up my car. Tripped the EPC & Check Engine Lights and blew a major fuse.
Color: Camshaft Magnet
Maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad one but I'm not trying my luck with this junk again. My car failed the test for the camshaft advance which this part controls. I wasn't sure if it's because mine was bad or the fact that I need a carbon cleaning. I figured the part was cheap enough that if couldn't hurt to replace it anyway. Boy was I wrong! After installing this part I started the car and it was rougher than normal. I figured I'd take it around the block and see if it smoothed out. Half way up the block both my EPC & Check Engine lights come on. I think this isn't good so I turn around and put my one part back in. Car runs better but the lights are still on. :( I run my code checker and have 19 engine codes. I tried to clear them and they come right back. Took me a few days to realize that this part blew my engine sensor fuse which was inside the engine compartment, under my washer fluid filler, inside my ECU box and under the ECU. Luckily I had the tools & resources to find and replace this fuse, as this would have easily been a $1000+ repair at the dealer. Just to make sure it was this part, I fixed the issue, cleared the codes (some took several drive cycles to clear) and then reinstalled this part. Soon after turning on the car, my EPC & check engine lights come on again. :( I check the codes and they are all back. I replace this part with my original, and can't clear the codes. I check the fuse and sure enough, it is blown again. Again, maybe I just got a bad part, but if I didn't have the tools and resources, this would have cost my LOTS of $$$$. ... show more

  • Take your time and you will be happy.
Color: Camshaft Bracket
It just works, so don't hesitate. I have put approximately 3k miles on this, and it is working flawlessly. Make sure you research all tools needed, and get new seals for everything.

  • I am a Professional Shop
Color: Intake Camshaft
As a shop owner i am always leery of cheap parts, This camshaft is a prime example, we bought this to try and save the customer some money, instead it has cost the shop $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$,, In less than 8,000 miles (5 months) the car was back in the shop because of a hard skip on #2cyl during check we found #2 cyl with no compression and on tear down and inspection we found the lobes on #2cyl had moved on the cam.. A very bad design and a very bad cam it has now cost my shop about $1500 in towing an repair of said vehicle. I do not recommend anyone purchasing this product ... show more

  • Didn’t work for me.
Color: Camshaft Bracket
I have a 2012 Audi A5 2.0T TFSI engine. Figured I’d get by with a cheaper cam bracket after rebuilding an engine. Wish I hadn’t. The rubber seal is too thin for the channel and it leaks like crazy. Bought an OEM seal, made sure the N205 valve was sealed at the correct torque specs according to Audi (35Nm), made zero difference. It’s not the upper timing cover as I’ve replaced it twice with the housing and gaskets and it still continues to leak in the same place. Right under the Cam magnet. Ended up having to purchase the OEM one anyways. If it works for you, then I’m really happy for you. But it didn’t for me. ... show more
