Wow, this stuff actually DOES live up to the hype. It doesn't remove every stain (soot, for example) but it does remove a lot of stuff and, unlike other carpet cleaners, the stains don't come back. I will definitely purchase it again. [Update] After about a month, ALL stains came back. It is, apparently, a spray on camouflage. That being said, it is better than nothing. -1 star. ... show more

I bit into the hype of this carpet cleaner to help with a fairly new stain of unknown origin, tracked in from the outside. It lightened the stain to a degree, but left a noticeable discoloration. As suggested I did pretest it on a clean section of the carpet to make sure the product itself would not cause any discoloration and it came out clean. Afterward, I treated the stain with a simple solution of white vinegar and warm water. That worked best. ... show more
