It has metal rings through it, and it is a beautiful purse very well made. They even have metal o rings connecting to the rings to the handles that are very well made. I had purchased this same purse about 7 years ago. In years past I would have to buy a new purse every six months or so because the shoulder straps would break. I am so excited to find a purse that will last me many years. The only down side is that the wallet is slightly smaller and doesn't hold bulk cash very well. I just got my purse with matching wallet and am in love. The purse seems bigger and roomier then I thought it would be. I love the back pocket for my cell phone as well as the zippered pocket for important papers. Only con is that they are more pink then the ordered purple.
