I bought two of these to transition my toddler from bottles to cups. He never really went for sippy cups, but still drinks a lot of milk. We don't have a dishwasher, so I like that the bite valve comes out and is easy to clean with a straw brush. The reasons for 4 stars rather than 5: My son did bite through the rubber bite valve on both bottles in about 6 months, but I found a two pack replacement set and changed those out. When the top is closed we don't have any leaking issues, but it also does a weird leaking thing where sometimes when my son sets it down on the table without closing the lid, milk will slowly leak out the top and puddle around the base of the bottle. I think if he draws milk up into the straw/mouthpiece but doesn't bit down to release the pressure if basically acts as a siphon. Once you pinch the mouthpiece again it releases it back into the bottle. Not a big deal if you're just using it for water, but can get messy with milk. I'd still buy these again in a heartbeat, but it is a product flaw. ... show more

This is July 2023 and there is a heat wave in progress. Bought this to carry water with me. I am getting rid of my plastic bottles. These are easy to pick out in my tote bag. I bought the 20 oz bottles for work. I also getting rid of the plastic bottles sitting on my desk at work. I bought one for my nightstand. Everyday, I wash out the bottles and fill them with water and put them in the refrigerator. Nice cold water for the morning. ... show more

I’ve used the Edy Camelbak water bottles for both of my daughters for years. My first daughter took to it like a champ around a 2. She has several different designs and they last for years. The older bottles have some scratches from regular wear and tear but have held up well. My youngest daughter had some feeding issues as a baby and even required surgery for a reflux and aspiration issue. I was very nervous about introducing thin liquids and a “big kid” straw cup because of her medical issues. She also fought us on learning how to use a straw (she was in feeding therapy). She is just a little over 2.5 and uses these cups every day. It took a few tries and now there’s no turning back. She has zero interest in her old cups. I introduced the Edy to her at age 2 with the help of her feeding therapist. Love these cups! As far as cleaning goes, I put the lid and cup in the top rack of the dishwasher. Mouth piece and straw is always hand washed and laid out to dry. Never had an issue with mold. If any company wants to see if something is truly leak proof, they should have my 1.5yo test it. If they push in the straw, water will leak EVERYWHERE. Other than that it’s an awesome container for kids.
