Features

  • LIGHT-HEARTED PARTY GAME: In Camel Up, up to eight players bet on five racing camels, trying to sussout which ones will place first and second in a quick race around a pyramid. Players will laugh out loud over the results that are rolled.
  • STRATEGY GAME: Players must strategize over where to place their bets. Camels don't run neatly, however, sometimes landing on top of another one and being carried toward the finish line.
  • DICE ROLLING GAME: Who's going to run when? That all depends on how the dice come out of the pyramid dice shaker, which releases one die at a time when players pause from their bets long enough to see who's actually moving!
  • NEW REVISED EDITION: This version features new artwork, a new game board and pyramid design and engraved dice. New game modes including crazy rogue camels that start the race running in the opposite direction add extra variability. You never know how a race will end!
  • NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This board game for adults and kids can be played with 3 to 8 players and is suitable for ages 8 and older. The average playtime is 30 to 45 minutes.

Description

In Camel Up, up to eight players bet on five racing camels, trying to sus out which ones will place first and second in a quick race around a pyramid. The earlier you place your bet, the more you can win — should you guess correctly, of course. Camels don't run neatly, however, sometimes landing on top of another one and being carried toward the finish line. Who's going to run when? That all depends on how the dice come out of the pyramid dice shaker, which releases one die at a time when players pause from their bets long enough to see who's actually moving! This 2018 edition of Camel Up features new artwork, a new game board design, a new pyramid design, engraved dice, and new game modes, including crazy rogue camels that start the race running in the opposite direction! You never know how a race will end!

  • Fun for the whole family
We love this game. Everyone gets into the races and the shouts of exultation or lament as a jew die is released from the pyramid is the best sound. The game is constructed of high quality materials.

  • Fun game to play with a group
I really enjoy this game and how it is both simple in the rules but also very strategic. It’s also very fun and tense towards the end of the game depending on where all the camels are in the game. Highly recommend.

Still trying to learn how to play it. Fun and worth the money.

  • Fun game for the family!
My guy likes to play board games… a lot! We play some more challenging games like Spirit Island and the Gallerist. I needed a game that I could bring on a family vacation that both my aging parents and young nieces would enjoy… this fit the bill. Super fun!

  • Super fun game! Additional components to game in 2nd Edition!
We were psyched that stores started carrying this game again. We love to play it, good for competitive and non competitive group alike, as there are many rounds that end quickly, and there is some luck and silliness to the game because the camels stack. This second edition came with a this black and white camel concept I was not familiar with. We have been treating it as an optional add-on to play and have not used it yet. The way the game packs up is smart, and though it takes some concentration to learn, the game does stick once you get it. We've been teaching people by playing a few rounds "cards face up" and explaining my thinking before we reset and play for real. ... show more
