  • Easy to use
This is just like the picture. It unfolds accordion style and folds back up easily with a carry handle that holds it all together for easy storage. This is the first of these items I have purchased (long time camper but usually don’t have full hookup) so I can not compare it to other types but I am happy with it. It is long, at least 25 feet, probably longer when stretched out. Holds hose securely without clips. Works well. I wish I would have bought one sooner. ... show more

  • When you need to ensure your poop flows downhill......
Its' the Camco Sidewinder to the rescue! Tired of foraging for material for propping the poop chute up on? Do you not particularly enjoy the excitement of "finding a wet treasure" in your stinky slinky? Then you my fellow RV'er have stumbled upon the most wonderous invention - a collapsible slide for your turd tube to rest on! This beauty works as intended - just stretch it out in between your coach and the honey pot hole then connect the tube of terror on either end and let it rest on its very own slip and slide. The rest happens on its own with no aggravating messes - just pull the handle of indescribable odors and let 'er rip, tater chip! The Camco Sidewinder - It makes a truly nasty experience a little more "enjoyable"! ... show more

  • Easily broken, easily mended. Don't treat it roughly, it'll last.
I like the caddy / carrier; it keeps this "slinky" hose guide tidy & in order while in storage, and is easy to use for moving the slinky around. I bought this in 2020, used it steadily through today, July 2023. Earlier this year I wasn't cautious when moving it around, and broke the thing into two sections, about in its middle. Dismayed, I found I couldn't simply reattach it to itself using one of the hinged sections. But I DID use a couple of black, heavy-duty Zip ties to reattach the two sections, and I'm very satisfied with continuing to use it in its mended state. It definitely gets the job done for most campgrounds' sewer connections to my fifth wheel camper. In some campgrounds, their sewer pipe connection rises a bit too high out of the ground (it should ideally be flush with the ground). This can cause a low spot in the drain hose from my camper to the sewer hole. I use various wooden planks & short boards to raise the slinky up high enough so there's a continuous downward path through the sewer hose from the camper to the raised campground septic drain hole. Not convenient, but this slinky hose guide helps make the stuff run downhill without pooling up in front of a too-tall drain hole. I'd buy this again. ... show more

  • A "must have" product for R/Vers
One of the less attractive aspects of travel trailer ownership is dumping the waste tanks. Typically, the waste hose lies flat on the ground but the outlets on the trailer are much higher and the connection to the sewer line is an elbow, so you have to wrestle a very flexible snake full of sewage when trying to get the leftovers out of the waste hose after dumping the tanks. With this support rack, the hose is supported in an inclined position for full drainage. The accordion pleated construction makes it easy to draw out the required length and then refold for storage. Camco took the time to actually look at how sewer connections are made so the produce fits well and isn't too high or too low. It also extends out to an adequate length for most hookups. My only complaint is the clip used to hold the segments together for storage. It's fussy and hard to get back on, and I'm not sure that a strap that wraps around the center section wouldn't work as well and be less fussy to use. The rack is reasonable priced, well made, and easy to use. I can recommend this to any R/V owner as one of those essential accessories. ... show more

  • When I was in the market for a new hose decided to splurge and purchase a sewer hose support as well and I am very glad I did
Since purchasing our RV we have noted many people using sewer hose supports while at various parks. When I was in the market for a new hose decided to splurge and purchase a sewer hose support as well and I am very glad I did. As anyone who RV's knows when you empty the tanks at the end of your vacation it isn't much fun having to lift the hose up to ensure that all the matter inside has drained out or worse yet thinking the hose is empty then moving it only to end up with shoes covered in nasties. This sewer hose support will see an end to those worries. The support is made out of plastic and is very easy to set up and take down. After removing the orange holder I set it under the sewer connector on the RV and then gently pulled it out until it reached the park sewer connection. Once in place I then lifted the hose onto the support and ensured it was sitting securely, I could see at this time that my sewer hose was angled in a natural downward slopping manner towards the park sewer connection. At the end of our vacation I opened the black tank and waited while it drained out, with the sewer hose support in place everything moved through the hose very quickly and without leaving anything stuck in the hose. Following I flushed out the grey tank and again was so very happy to stand and be able to see that everything was draining out and I didn't have to lift it to clear any obstructions. Once the tanks had been completed drained detached the hose and was so happy to not have any nasties dripping out the end. The support folds up easily just by folding it into itself, I agree with other reviews the orange plastic holder caused me some problems when trying to secure it to the support. However when I arrived home I found that like the hose support the orange keeper is also has a tall end and short end, if you take the time to look at it and ensure that the short end is placed over the short end of the support you won't have any trouble using it to keep the support together when not in use. Only taken this out on one trip so far but it really is worth the money I paid for it and I'm hoping it stands up to use over time, should it be necessary I will update my review. ... show more
