I bought this because it was supposed to be a match for the modern essentials blazer I bought in a store. The fabric is different, so it isn’t an exact match. But I love the fit of a nice high waisted pencil skirt, so I’m keeping this one. Re: sizing. This runs huge. I’m currently a large-xl in pants and dresses. My waist is 34” and my hips are 45”. I bought this in a medium and it fit perfectly. I could see myself wearing it all day as it is very work appropriate and comfy. It is form fitting at the top but not through the legs. And it comes down just below the knee. The same sizing issue happened with the blazer, so I wonder if Calvin is doing some crazy vanity sizing with this modern essentials line. The bag the skirt arrived in had a ton of packing tape on it. I think several people bought it and returned it due to the sizing. Lucky for me the skirt looked brand new and had no stains or smells.

Looks comfortable. It's a gift for a young adult. The elastic waistband isn't what I'm used to. It's a thick elastic band with no matching fabric over it but it might be considered stylish and interesting with an accessory belt... it might work for her age group. Logo is removable if you don't want it to show. It is metal and stitched on. There's no lining.

The media could not be loaded. When this arrived, I noticed the packaging was taped excessively. I cut a slit at one end so I could tape it back up if needed for returns. When I pulled the skirt out, more bag came with it. Now, the bag doesn't resemble a bag anymore, but a plastic cyclinder that has been twisted and taped to itself. This wouldn't be a problem if I was keeping the skirt. But, this skirt is way too big. I'm a size 6 and ordered a size medium. I have a large gap between the waistband and my body; I can fit my hand in-between without touching the fabric. Also, I thought it was going to hit above the knee, but it covers the knee. I can't say much on quality because I'm not keeping it to test longevity. That being said, I don't think this is Calvin Klein. As someone that has loved Calvin Klein for the fit and quality in the past, I'm not impressed. You get what you pay for I guess

I purchase this skirt originally from Dillards about 14 months ago. I loved the fit and durability. I lost a little weight, and needed a size smaller, so rather than go to Dillard’s, I purchased the same skirt from Amazon. It was noticeably tailored incorrectly (the waist band was very lose). And the metal accessory tag was made of cheap plastic instead of the quality metal it previously came with. I assumed it was a mistake or fluke, so I purchased a second one from Amazon. Again, the tailoring was slightly off (not as much as the first one), but the waist band was very cheap and I could tell it wouldn’t hold up very long. And the metal accessory tag was still the cheap tag instead of the classy accessory tag that it is pictured with. Not sure if Calvin Klein had an economy line that they sell online, and if that is the reason for the low quality, but you can go to Dillard’s and purchase the high quality Calvin Klein skirt for practically the same price as I paid on Amazon, and get a MUCH better quality product.
