  • This really worked great
I really thought this product was going to be one of those “ to good to be true” deals . However it fit perfect and worked great. Barely had to adjust the idle. Great fix.

  • Take your time

I had to do no adjustments on my new carb very happy with my purchase ... show more

  • This actually is quite a good "Mikuni" knock off
This actually is quite a good "Mikuni" knock off. Just a few inconspicuous differences. One thing that was a little disappointing, was that it did not have the cover for the throttle cable connection area; I had to use the old one off of the original Mikuni. Also, be aware that this may not be "plug and play", at least it wasn't for me. Here are the adjustment issues I had: 1: Out of the box, the idle mixture screw was set at 3.75 turns out from seated. I reset it to 2 turns out and actually work well, so kept it there. 2: After getting it completely installed, there was a bad hesitation at about 1/4 throttle and the fuel was leaking a lot from the fuel bowl overflow. Took it off to check the float. The service manual on the 2000 Trail Boss 325, which is based on the Mikuni carburetor, indicates a measurement of 13mm from bowl surface to step in float when lightly seated. The out of the box measurement was 16mm and was leaking from the overflow, so I did a fuel level test which indicated the fuel was shutting off a couple mm above specification, so I reset the float measurement to 18mm. Put it back on and fuel overflow leak was fixed, but still had bad hesitation on throttle. 3: So, removed carburetor again and removed throttle slide to check main jet needle. Needle was set at max high (lean), so moved down 2 notches toward rich. Reinstalled and it runs perfect. This took quite a bit of time, and if you have ever worked on these carburetors, you probably know they are a b***h to remove and reinstall, and almost impossible to adjust the idle mixture screw when mounted. So just be aware you may have to spend some time and do some tinkering. ... show more

  • Does not work
I am going to sell my 2000 polaris trail boss and wanted to put a new carburetor on it. So I purchased the one listed. The carburetor was a perfect fit, but I noticed the choke cable did not screw in the same as it did on the stock carburetor. I tried starting the quad with no luck. After checking spark and fuel lines, I decided the problem was the carburetor. I cleaned the old carburetor and after a few cranks, the quad started right up. After further examination, I noticed some of the jet holes were smaller than the stock carb. So I don't know if it was the jets or the choke, but my quad did not work with this carburetor. ... show more

  • 2001 Polaris trail boss 325 match
Exact match for my OEM carb on a 2001 Polaris Trail Boss 325, put on and runs like new with no adjustments. Very happy with the purchase- good quality carburetor.

  • Good Copy Carb, WILL Need Tuning.
This carburetor is exactly what it looks like, a Chinease Mikuni knockoff. It does fit perfect into the four wheeler but some major tuning may be required. When I put this in my trail boss it idle perfect but under any throttle would bog down and die. The fix to this was to take the main jet out of this carburetor and swap for the original Mikuni and put the needle clip on the top setting. Overall decent quality product but it takes some time to get tuned. ... show more
