Purchased for my 16yr old son who has recently decided to take up golf. Was looking to get something affordable in a starter set. Based on reviews this one seemed to hold up better than some of the less expensive options. Being that this set is made by Callaway I felt comfortable in purchasing. Decent starter set, missing a few clubs which kinda sucks because my set is mismatched right out of the gate. All the clubs work great except the driver, absolutely a dead club. Sad I get more distance out of the 3wood off the deck than this driver. Tested at the range also and I can perform 50+ yards better with other brands. I’ve been playing golf for a few years and have used the same clubs since day one. The clubs were severely beaten from months of learning the game so I decided to get another set. Found these and have played a few rounds and I must say they are pretty great for the price. You won’t be taking them on tour and they are designed to used by the broadest audience possible so it’s unrealistic to think you’ll get the same experience as a club that has been sized for you but these hit true and feel good. I got the left handed set for my husband. The price point was great especially because he only golfs about 5 times a year. He took them to the driving range the day that I gifted them to him, and said he shot the best he's ever shot with these clubs. I read other reviews that mentioned the driver breaking before making this purchase so I was a little bit weary, and I told him that too, but he said they are great clubs he has no clue how the driver could break unless you're doing something crazy. I've played very little golf in my life, and I have borrowed clubs up until this point. While I first went to a secondhand golf store to look for clubs, it was too much of an investment without knowing how often I'll play. I also wanted a full enough set, and on top of that, I'm left-handed! After doing a lot of research I ultimately came to many different blogs and articles pointing me towards this set. Eventually, I made the purchase and have been very happy. I love my 9 iron. In fact, I love all my irons that came with the set. The grips are good and help me with aligning my shots. While I have issues with the drivers, I believe that's all due to my current ability and skill level.
