I've never been a Calloway fan, more of a TM guy but decided to give these a shot after a friend was telling me about them & had me try 1 of his & I hit thr longest, starightest drives I've hit in several years. I'm 62 & can still hit em over 300 with my driver during warmer weather & if my body allows on that particular day but found my distance dwindling markedly recently. Of course, there could be many factors involved with that in this game. I don't play with a handicap, I could shoot 78 today & 2 days from now on the same course shoot 98, all depends on my back & neck on that particular day. But after hitting a 320 yard drive first try with this ball I decided to do a side by side test with my regular ball. Every driver shot was 20-30 yards longer or more with this Calloway ball. Distance with my irons isn't as important to me as accuracy but for an example I hit my 5 iron about 200, 7 iron 170, 9 iron 150. Each shot with this ball wasn't just a little further, but a little 'tighter', more accurate but also more importantly-the ball stuck to the green. Many drew back a foot or 2. I even hit a 260 yard 3 wood to a par 5 that took 1 5' bounce & sat. As for the bold alignment marks, they're a nice touch but don't help my putting as since I moved to Florida 20 years ago I instantly turned into Stevie Wonder on the putting green (nothing like putting on those bent grass greens up north!). ... show more

These have decent value for a mid handicapper. Hackers would be just as suited to a Noodle. Low handicappers should just play the Pro V for the difference in money.

Hold the greens well and for a 16 handicap probably a little over doing it but I like the feel when I hit them properly. It's a great soft ball. They are not cheap but not the most expensive and Callaway makes a newer ball now

I consider myself an ok golfer. I play once a week and carry around a 20 HCP. I am by no means an expert, I am just like everyone one else except I’m honest about my golf abilities. That being said: these balls rock! The 2023 E.R.C Soft is a noticeable improvement from the last model. I typically play either a Titleist AVX or a Srixon Q Star Tour. ( I like the feel) I bought these 2023 Callaway balls because I needed another dozen and they shipped overnight (that and finding yellow balls that ship quick….). I can say from playing 9 this morning that these balls play great. They really matched my swing. Low spin of the driver and the PERFECT amount of spin on approach shots. The new urethane cover does wonders. The previous model was an ok ball but I wasn’t too jazzed about it vs the Q Star Tour. However… I think I may stick with these for awhile. A predictable ball flight mixed with soft feel, excellent distance and great spin within 120 yards… that’s win/win baby. I’m a hack like most of you. All I can say is give them a shot you’ll like em a lot. ... show more
