This is a true olive oil. It does NOT have other cheaper oils mixed in. The way to test an olive oil is to put it in the refrigerator for two days. The portion that does not congeal is not olive oil it is another oil that was added. Many brands claim Extra Virgin olive oil but are actually cut with other oils. California Olive Ranch not only has the taste of a true olive oil, but it congeals in the refrigerator. I keep it there and move small portions to a dark botttle. This keeps the olive oil fresh. With so much cheating going on, you can count on California Olive Ranch being a real olive oil.

Good real olive oil. Not the fake rancid common stuff. Has an earthy grassy taste. I suggest this brand if you are not used to real olive oil as it's a milder one to start with.

I bought this olive oil to try for baking, and used it to make an olive oil cake and oh wow is it delicious for baking! In a cake like this you really need a great quality oil. It’s a hint grassy, but not bitter or peppery - it’s a delicious mild clean flavor and it enhanced my cake. I’d used a different oil previously and the California Olive Ranch Oil outshined in the baked final result for sure. The picture is of the cake I baked with 3/4 cup of this oil. Great testing, high quality and good for cooking or on salads and such. This olive oil has a different, but better, taste than most olive oils, avocado oils, rice oils and walnut oils. Buy a bottle and you'll be sold on it for life!
