21 month Update: I keep seeing people reporting that these (and other) bamboo sheets stain easy. My partner is on blood thinner and is in construction so I'm quite familiar with stains on the sheet. However, I soak these in hot water and oxiclean for two hours (or overnight) and wash them in hot water and none of the stains remain. I've been doing this for almost two years now and the sheets are holding up fine. Don't use bleach. I also saw that some customers experienced pilling but I haven't. My pillow cases have been washed weekly (almost 100 times) and have never pilled. I assume somethings different in the washing process. I attached a closeup of the pillowcase. While it looks course in the photo, it is still as soft as ever. 19 month Update: Quit using fabric softener to better protect fabric and environment with no loss in softness. No more damage since I quit using hot water and bleach. Still wash weekly. 10 month Update: Started seeing holes in the sheets from my aggressive cleaning techniques. I found that soaking overnight in OxyClean Powder worked better than bleach. 8 Month Update: I have washed these sheets with bleach and hot water (not that I recommend that) every week for 8 months with no loss in strength or softness. My spouse does hard manual labor and is on blood thinners so the sheets get dirty. Addendum: I bought three sets of new sheets, all in different fabrics, all rated high. Prices below are for Queen size. * 680 Thread Count Pima Cotton $80 from Costco, Sturdiest * Eucalyptus (Tencel Lyocell) $60 from Sams Club, Softest * These Bamboo Rayon $70 from Amazon, Lightest Addendum: The replacement set is working fine with no rips. I've washed them weekly for five months (no piling) and they are as soft as new but I had to soak them overnight in oxi clean to whiten them again. Still the softest set of sheets I own (and I buy for softness). Addendum: The corner of one bottom sheet ripped after first use. However, they are so soft that I am giving them a second chance and ordered a replacement set. The replacement set was damaged in transit and returned undelivered. I ordered and received a second set that are working fine but I had a time getting Amazon to refund the charge for the nondelivered set. I have already spoken with two associates, the latter who claims I am misreading my credit card receipt. Original Review: The sheets are noticeably soft and shiny. They feel lighter and cooler for sleeping but the softness is not to the degree that you feel on satin sheets (they didn't cause the sheets, pillows, or me to slip off the bed). Because of reviews that reported tears and pilling, I washed these sheets twice before putting them on the bed. As shown in the photos, they fit the split king bed perfectly and had no tears, holes, or pilling. People are reporting them to be wrinkled. Mine did too when I forgot to use Downy Wrinkleguard fabric softener. You also need to remove them from the dryer as soon as they are dry. They also don't get overly wrinkled after sleeping on them. I put the pillow cases on two different king pillows and they were almost too small on the Viewstar Cooling Shredded Memory Foam Pillow but fit perfectly on the expensive one I bought from Sears years ago. Neither of them slipped off the pillows overnight. Ignore the review from BigPopa (and others) that says these sheets are not made from bamboo. His photo deliberately cuts off the part that says they are from bamboo. They are more expensive than many sets of sheets but I routinely buy sheets this expensive and they compare well based on feel. These are the best sheets ever. Cooling, sooo comfortable, soft and durable (I'm a light sleeper; toss and turn a lot and my boyfriend always pulls the sheets). I've owned mine for almost a year now and they're just as perfect as when I bought them. Gentle cold cycle and super low heat drying (for example I use the lowest heat setting and dry them for about 40 minutes) will keep them happy and fresh. If you accidentally overheat them the colour of the "heat stain?" will wash out, just be mindful and it'll be fine. I'm planning to order another set for myself and as a gift! 100% recommend They will wrinkle if you're not on top of that but it smooths out after a few hours or so. ... show more

This summer is hot, and sadly my bedroom is hotter. I read a review about these from a website, and the reviews here seemed promising. When I got them they were amazing to touch. So silky and soft. I washed them according to the directions and everything magical about them went away. Yes, they were more silky than regular cotton sheets, but only a fraction of what they were prewash. I hoped that they would stay cool. They do absorb the cool from the fan, but it doesn't last long. Add to it that the pillow cases barely fit my standard size pillows and I'm just really disappointed. Silky - 2 out of 5 Coolness - 2 out if 5 Fit - flat sheet and pillow cases are too small, fitted sheet is great. 3 out of 5 Comfort - 3 out of 5 Color - 5 out of 5 ... show more

I'm extremely annoyed by all the reviews yelling that these are "rayon, not bamboo" from people who have no idea what rayon is or how fabric is made from bamboo (or eucalyptus, or other woody fibers). It's like the people who say "this is polyester, not real satin!" *sighs deeply* Rayon, viscose, and modal are all fabric fibers made from processed natural wood cellulose, and yes, bamboo is one of the sources rayon and viscose can be made from! So of course when you buy something made of bamboo fabric, it's going to say rayon or viscose on the fabric content tag. Folks, PLEASE STOP ACCUSING SELLERS OF FALSE ADVERTISING JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE FABRICS ARE. I bought the Silver Gray color, and it's a lovely soft gray with a pretty sheen from the sateen weave. They're very silky, and feel just like my 100% bamboo sateen sheets from a couple of other brands. I have had no reason to question the origin of the fibers. Fabrics made from natural fibers, like cotton, rayon, viscose, silk, wool, etc., all shrink when soaked in water for washing and heated in a dryer - this is normal. Bamboo rayon and viscose just need more gentle care, more like how you'd care for silk, though not quite as delicate: just wash the set in cold water only, without any other items, in a gentle detergent, and dry on the lowest setting. That should prevent pillowcases from shrinking to the point of not fitting pillows anymore. In my opinion, the way bamboo-derived fabrics feel on my skin, keep me cooler, and don't dry out my skin and hair like cotton does, is well worth a little extra care. I'll probably buy the Burgundy set soon, too, thanks to the photos people have posted of the color! ... show more
