Great Quality Sateen Sheet Set!

This is a great quality set! I loved the Kirkland sateen sheets from Costco but didn't find what I needed this time. Took a chance on this set due to the great reviews and it did not disappoint! I love the color options; I bought true ivory and it's a pretty, soft white. They feel silky and cool and the thread count is perfect for a mid-weight feel. Definitely want to buy more! Be careful if you have a king vs. california king. I initially received a king sized set because when I changed color options, the system changed my size to king. As consumers how are we to know when a seller tells us that their product is made of a certain material? Shoppers are learning that when a furniture manufacture says real wood that can easily mean that what was used to grind the sawdust for so-called MDF product originated from a tree. And who hasn’t bought a stainless steel item for their kitchen only to find out the fact that they only mean it only looks like stainless steel? And most famous of all is the word leather which these days almost always means a manmade product made of ground up recycled leather with such names as pleather or “bonded”. I’ve been learning that 100% cotton doesn’t mean that it is completely made of fibers from a cotton bush and nothing else, even though we are asked to pay a king’s ransom for some brands of sheets. To me these feel nice but maybe a little too smooth and shiny compared to what I grew up with or what some of the better hotels use as all-cotton sheets. I like my sheets to feel like cloth, which means they have at least some weave texture. These are really good and I can see why they are so popular and I have to weigh the price, which though higher than most people will ever spend on a sheet is still far lower than a similar sheet will cost is a department store or even at the membership club. Regarding the weight of the sheets, what is also described as the thickness, these are both heavy and thick. One easy way to compare brands is just look at the product weight in the description, these are a full pound heavier than another best selling brand of cotton sheets. And that’s not due to how they are wrapped-up, this company uses minimalistic materials and no wasteful plastic bag that will be thrown out anyway and not be biodegradable. Maybe they do go a little overboard patting themselves on the back how responsible they are but it seems they do walk the talk. I can’t write a fair review without mentioning the question of wrinkles. The simple short answer is if you dislike wrinkles so much you shouldn’t be considering all-cotton sheets, a truly non-wrinkle cotton sheet simply does not exist. And if you insist on buying these please don’t write about how you don’t like that they wrinkle – the seller describes that very clearly in their information column that these WILL wrinkle and the best you can do is remove them immediately from the dryer and if it really bothers you spend an hour ironing them. I’m not going to do that, I don’t care if my sheets look a little lived in, I’m not sure I could sleep if they were perfectly smooth and I had to worry about messing them up. I can put up with some wrinkling, that’s why I buy cotton sheets. There are some things I can’t live (okay sleep) with and one of them is when my fitted sheet pulls out and by morning it’s wrapped all over me. These have a stronger than average elastic band that runs all the way around the bottom sheet and tucks deeply under the mattress. No matter how active I am in bed they haven’t pulled out yet. I also like that the top sheet is long from head to foot so it too can be tucked in deep. A short sheet is one of the first signs of a cheap sheet. At the price I think I would prefer that the pillowcases have that envelope flap that tucks in to cover the end of the pillow. It’s not a big deal to me but it’s what I’m used to. When I decided to give up sheets made of plastic materials and look for all cotton ones I didn’t realize how difficult that process would be. When I decided on these they had the most reviews by far, mostly positive. I add mine to that because I think they are worth it. ... show more

Nice quality but wrinkles

Nice sheets for the price. Fit nicely on a full sized bed although a bit snug. and are true to color. These are the 600’s and I also have 500’s in a queen size which also fit very snug on my queen sized bed. Comparing the 500 to the 600 they are extremely similar in thickness and quality and they both wrinkle a lot no matter how you wash and dry them. The one difference is the seam on the side edge of the )00’s folds up straight out of the dryer which I don’t like. You’d have to iron them to get it to straighten out. I have 2 sets of the 600’s for a full sized bed and they both do that. The 500’s on the queen sized bed do not do that. The top sheet side seam lays flat. In summary they’re a nice quality sheet set, true colors, soft but quite wrinkled and fit a bit snug. Try them! I think you’ll be pleased ... show more

Perfectly soft but does wrinkle easy. It does have deep pockets like it’s advertised. It doesn’t pill. And they do seem thick enough to keep you warm in the summer months. I sleep hot naturally so I’m never sure if it’s me or the sheets that keep me hot. But I like these so much I’m getting another set. ... show more

These sheets are both beautiful and comfortable!

These are very comfortable sheets, thick-but-not-too-thick and luxurious to the touch. I previously purchased the California Design Den 400 thread count sheets and although they are nice, especially in the heat of the summer, I strongly prefer this 600 thread count version. I am pleased that they came with queen size pillow cases, my other set came with standard cases which were too small. Although these sheets were packaged beautifully, they literally reeked straight out of the box. One good washing took care of that so no big deal. The lavender color is stunning and the size of the sheets is generous. My only wish is that the pillowcases had an envelope closure like my other set. With that said, I would buy these sheets again in an instant, I am very happy with them. And did I mention the beautiful color? ... show more

These were advertised as deep pocket sheets. The bottom sheet fit perfectly and I was quite pleased. The top sheet was too small. While it fit, there was nothing left over at all. It appears was cut as a regular queen size without the deep mattress pad. The top sheet barely reaches the bottom of the deep mattress. Probably 2-3" smaller than my current top sheet.
