This duvet cover was very thick, perfect for adding weight to your duvet- which I prefer. It also has a lovely sheen and is quite soft. I do wish the pillowcases were nicer. One side of them is finished, one side is oddly unfinished, so you can never flip your pillows when making your bed. I deducted a star for that.

I bought 2 of these duvets, plane white and geo matelasse. I can’t stand flat sheets so I am always looking for good quality, soft duvet covers that are easy to wash. The geo matelasse duvet is thicker and heavier than the plain white and I actually like it. The bottom is soft and silky, and the top looks nice enough to double as bed cover. I am going to use it with a medium thick duvet and in summer I think it is thick enough to be used as a cotton blanket without duvet. The size is perfect, and the buttons look very sturdy, hopefully they won’t break after few washes.

Got this to replace another striped white cotton duvet cover I bought 10+ years ago. The old one only needed to be replaced because my dog bit through it. Old one (top left corner of bed) in photo shown with new Amazon duvet cover on the bed. New one is thinner and wrinkles more. I prefer the structure and thickness of the old one. The lines in the old one are more pronounced. New one is softer. We’ll see how it holds up to time and washes.
