So far seem like very nice sheets for the price! It was surprisingly tough to find black cotton sheets, so I thought I'd give these a try. They're not ULTRA inky black, but I honestly didn't expect that from cotton. They are actually black though, not dark gray or navy (we'll see if they fade). The texture definitely reminds me more of old-fashioned crisp cotton sheets rather than the usual T-shirt-soft cotton. They aren't super plush and soft to the touch, but are more crisp and silky. Personally, I like the texture. They sleep cool, which is nice as I'm very hot-natured. If you're used to microfiber softness, these will probably feel scratchy to you. IMO they are not as soft and plush as the item description suggests, so that's why I'm taking off a star even though it wasn't an issue for me. The construction seems good so far - no apparent stitching problems or flaws with the fabric. Love that the pillowcases have the envelope closure, and that the pack came with two extra cases. The elastic on the fitted sheet is pretty substantial and goes all the way around the edge of the sheet. It fits easily on my fairly thick pillowtop mattress. I washed them straight out of the package before using them (per the instructions on the tag), and they came out with no issues. No dye bleeding either as far as I could tell, which was a concern since they are black. There wasn't much noticeable softening upon first wash, but they did come out with surprisingly few wrinkles. I've only washed them once so far and will update with how they hold up. EDIT: After several months of use and washing, they're holding up great! Color is still true, no seam or fabric issues, and no pilling! I actually do think they've gotten softer as well. Loving these sheets, especially for the price! Increased my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Would definitely purchase again.

I'm very picky when it comes to bedding. I live in Southern California and it's very important that my bedsheets are breathable and durable, because it gets incredibly hot here and I need to wash the sheets often. These sheets are very soft and silky right out of the bag and for a moment I was like "is this really cotton?" After the first wash they get a little bit rougher, but it's rough like real cotton is supposed to be, and I actually like the feel of them better after the wash. The sheets don't get any static electricity which a lot synthetic materials usually do, and even though it hasn't gotten super hot in California yet, I feel like these will work very well for the summer too. So far after three washes they have held up really well and I feel like they get somehow better after every wash. The stitching feels durable and good and the fitted sheet fits my 13 inch mattress perfectly without slipping around during the night. I've bought more expensive sheets that I've liked less than this set, I think this is excellent quality for the price and totally worth it!

I bought these butter-yellow sheets in May 2021. They arrived with a sheen that remained after washing and drying. The seam at the top of the sheet did unravel for a few inches (minus one star, easily mended with iron-on tape), but they have provided nearly three and a half years of blissful bedding, and would have lasted much, much longer if I didn't have Restless Leg Syndrome. So 95% of the sheets are still like new (only even softer, and perhaps with slightly less sheen), but where my feet move around, the cloth is worn nearly through. None of the other seams have come apart anywhere, and the fitted sheet elastic is still as good as new. I would have happily purchased another set, but they've discontinued the yellow color.

I finally settled on these because I could get the right size (King), right color (golden yellow - not as vivid as their photo) and deep pockets (YES! And the top sheet is nice and wide!). They arrived perfectly clean, packaged nicely and no weird stains or tears. Do yourself a favor and stop agonizing over all the confusing sheet-lingo - just get them!

My search is done! I got this great duvet set and was having a hard time finding the perfect vibrant golden yellow cotton sheet set to match. Most yellows are too anemic and pale, or the color seemed right but they weren't cotton. I've had some cotton sheet sets in the past that eventually got soft, but I had to deal with roughness for a while. Not with these! First wash out of the bag I put in a cup of baking soda with a small amount of soap, rinse cycle a cup of vinegar, my usual for new sheets. Even though not recommended, I dry on high in my gas dryer with wool balls. I couldn't believe the comfort of them after the very first wash! I've had them for three months and they're still very comfortable and soft, yet heavy enough to not feel flimsy. I rub my feet together while falling asleep and I suspect while I sleep, and these have no pilling or signs of wear. Hoping they never develop the dreaded holes where my feet are, but I have high hopes for them as they seem to be of a very high quality, and at a very good price.
