and that problem is I can only give 5 stars? I would give 10 stars. Why I see any negativity on these I don’t understand. I know everyone has different taste but I find the minimal fusses unwarranted. These were originally meant for the main guest room. Not anymore. They came right off and went in our master bedroom that had 400 tc. We put the 400 count tc in guest room. We were afraid anyone visiting would never go home with these sheets on that bed and wanting an extra night here...LOL...These sheets are amazing...1000%. Received, Washed, gentle cycle, then in light warm dryer until just slightly damp then draped sheets over a chaise and a sofa. Went on with our day. That evening all was dry and not a single wrinkle. Smooth as can be. Our mattress has a pillow top and at 12”, with a 3” topper on that and a 1” quilted Mattress pad for extra softness on top of that and the fitted sheet fit perfect with about 2” under edges. I like to lay on a cloud and with these sheets on it’s finally all complete. More than enough of top sheet to tuck under foot of mattress and envelope fold the corners and sheet edge at head of bed is right at mattress edge. We didn’t have to pull it back to get enough for going under foot of mattress for tucking. Elastic all around edges tucks nice. Not heavy sheets, which I was afraid these 600 tc might have been and not a skimpy sheer either. Absolutely perfect weight. Last are the pillow cases. We have large overstuffed pillows. These pillow cases cover the entire pillow with room to spare. My other pillow cases had the pillow at the edge of the case. That annoyed me. Don’t have that problem anymore. Now that we are happy with these sheets we can order a second set of pillow cases bc we have 4 pillows. I think “Egyptian Cotton” is way overrated. 100% cotton is the key. I’m called the bed sheet snob. I’m happy now. Happiest I’ve been with comfy sheets now in forever. I was tempted to go for the $200+ sheets but just couldn’t make myself do it. Turns out getting these was a great decision. I’m a hot sleeper and had zero problems with sweating. My wife is a cold sleeper and she had no problems at all. That’s a first. You will probably keep looking now, reading reviews trying to figure who is fussing for nothing, what’s better and so on, like I did. I would throw these in your cart now in the meantime bc when you are finished shopping you will come back to these. I am OCD everything and spent so much time researching here reading reviews and reading reviews on the internet. I kept resolving back to these. I found a lot of conflicts with reviews on those other big name super expensive sheets outside of Amazon. All just a gimmick. In the end, save yourself a lot of time and just buy these. I’ve been burnt sooooo many times with descriptions not being what they claimed and stuck with just ok sheets and some junk. Not anymore and never had to spend a ton of $. We are pushing all the other sheets to the back of the linen closet and maybe our children will want them for their guest bedrooms. Our collection of sheets have gotten way out of hand. I will park my sheet buying days with California Design Den from now on. Never before have we ever went back to another set of sheets a second time. I read a pile of reviews and settled on these sheets. For the wimps who complained about wrinkles, WRINKLES?????? Just got mine a couple days ago, washed them up, and no wrinkles to complain about. Take them out of washer, shake them out, dry and take them right out. No problem. Wow, they are super soft, and I have never spent this much money on sheets before, but now I will do this again. They are top dollar sheets, super sort, nice and thick, not cheap and thin. BUY THEM. I have to agree with some reviews that said the seafoam color is not a vibrant as the photo, but who cares? You're sleeping in them. I know, I love decorating, but what the heck. They're awesome quality. And yes, the pillow cases are super long. ... show more

As consumers how are we to know when a seller tells us that their product is made of a certain material? Shoppers are learning that when a furniture manufacture says real wood that can easily mean that what was used to grind the sawdust for so-called MDF product originated from a tree. And who hasn’t bought a stainless steel item for their kitchen only to find out the fact that they only mean it only looks like stainless steel? And most famous of all is the word leather which these days almost always means a manmade product made of ground up recycled leather with such names as pleather or “bonded”. I’ve been learning that 100% cotton doesn’t mean that it is completely made of fibers from a cotton bush and nothing else, even though we are asked to pay a king’s ransom for some brands of sheets. To me these feel nice but maybe a little too smooth and shiny compared to what I grew up with or what some of the better hotels use as all-cotton sheets. I like my sheets to feel like cloth, which means they have at least some weave texture. These are really good and I can see why they are so popular and I have to weigh the price, which though higher than most people will ever spend on a sheet is still far lower than a similar sheet will cost is a department store or even at the membership club. Regarding the weight of the sheets, what is also described as the thickness, these are both heavy and thick. One easy way to compare brands is just look at the product weight in the description, these are a full pound heavier than another best selling brand of cotton sheets. And that’s not due to how they are wrapped-up, this company uses minimalistic materials and no wasteful plastic bag that will be thrown out anyway and not be biodegradable. Maybe they do go a little overboard patting themselves on the back how responsible they are but it seems they do walk the talk. I can’t write a fair review without mentioning the question of wrinkles. The simple short answer is if you dislike wrinkles so much you shouldn’t be considering all-cotton sheets, a truly non-wrinkle cotton sheet simply does not exist. And if you insist on buying these please don’t write about how you don’t like that they wrinkle – the seller describes that very clearly in their information column that these WILL wrinkle and the best you can do is remove them immediately from the dryer and if it really bothers you spend an hour ironing them. I’m not going to do that, I don’t care if my sheets look a little lived in, I’m not sure I could sleep if they were perfectly smooth and I had to worry about messing them up. I can put up with some wrinkling, that’s why I buy cotton sheets. There are some things I can’t live (okay sleep) with and one of them is when my fitted sheet pulls out and by morning it’s wrapped all over me. These have a stronger than average elastic band that runs all the way around the bottom sheet and tucks deeply under the mattress. No matter how active I am in bed they haven’t pulled out yet. I also like that the top sheet is long from head to foot so it too can be tucked in deep. A short sheet is one of the first signs of a cheap sheet. At the price I think I would prefer that the pillowcases have that envelope flap that tucks in to cover the end of the pillow. It’s not a big deal to me but it’s what I’m used to. When I decided to give up sheets made of plastic materials and look for all cotton ones I didn’t realize how difficult that process would be. Very pleased with these sheets. I bought them for my dad, who has always liked the gold tone colors - and this is definitely the rich gold color that I was looking for him. I washed them, and they came through the wash very nicely. Only slight wrinkles which was minimal for the first wash, and seems that it will just get better as it gets more washes. The feel of the fabric has a great feel - very smooth and soft yet is a heavier weight than many sheets out there so it seems that it will last a good long time. ... show more

These sheets are fabulous. Very generously sized for my queen mattress, but they are the most comfortable ones I’ve ever slept in. The pillowcases, too, are quite large. The sea foam color is much lighter than the picture, so much so that I thought they had sent the wrong color, but I forgave them once I slept in these sheets. They were pricey for me, but I’d buy them again if I needed another set. These would be the first ones I would choose without a doubt.
