The jester cane was purchased to coincide with the Evil Jester Halloween Costume for my 8 year old. The head is solid and the detail is pretty good. Similar jester canes had complaints about being hollow and poor paint jobs. Not this one! This is a seriously creepy looking cane. It lost a star for size. Let's face it, size does count and this is a little smaller than expected. It's about shoulder height for my 8 year old, but that includes the large head on the end. In reality it's too short to function as a cane, even for him. It's more of a septor, but still really cool looking. If you bought the Evil Jester Costume and are willing to pay an extra $20 on accessories, I'd go for it. But as a cane, it came up a little short.

I was impressed with the quality and weight of this product. The Jester head is made of rubber. It feels like thick rubber. The quality is excellent. This is a prop and not to be used as a true cane - meaning, don't put your weight on it. The cane seems like PVC hard plastic that comes in 2 pieces and screws together. Buy this along with the black and red Jester costume and you'll hit a home run at Halloween.

I bought this to go with my sons Halloween outfit because it matched it. When it first arrived I was very impressed with the quality and how good it was held up. The only issue that I had with it was one of the skulls that dangle on it was broke off. I did message the seller though and the problem was worked out. Things do happen and i know some of my ups guys are rough on packages so not sure exactly where the blame goes. But for the price you pay, the quality is really well and the top is very sturdy.

I've seen the reviews complaining about the actual cane part of it and I can understand that if you put much weight at all on it then it would collapse. It is strictly meant to be carried or as a decoration and certainly not as a real cane... but I bought it for the creepy head and it is perfect for that. This was used for my variation of 'elf on the shelf' called 'ghoul on the stool' as I placed it on the back of the toilet. Since then it has been moved around the house to various locations (my wife is afraid of clowns). Cane aside, the quality of the head itself is very good and it will set up on its own. Be aware that there are small parts attached (the small skulls on the hat) so you definitely don't want small children playing with it.
