I am a beginner at skateboarding, but have longboarded for a while, and this board is quality for the price! The board is sturdy and has some decent parts on it for a pre-built board. Took a chance on this Cal-7 after looking at many completes on Amazon in the $40 range. The extra $10 for a Cal-7 turned out to be worth it. My son purchased a Chrome Wheels board and in comparison we both think the Cal-7 is better. The Cal-7 is a “real” skateboard compared to others in this price range. I have searched extensively to find something similar in this price range but it seems if you want a “real” skateboard you better be ready to spend $75 and up. I grabbed another Cal 7 board for my other kid and they're still great products. No damage issues (I mean, we're going to beat them up through daily use anyways) in transit and no quality issues to speak of, even with the endless ollie attempts. I think people that have banged-up products on arrival suffer from delivery rather than Cal 7; confidence is high they're not shipping damaged goods -- YMMV. These are great boards for any user especially if you're starting out; the bearings are a touch slower (5s? I forget...) but solid deck with solid components. ... show more

The board and trucks are great the bushings are nice and allows for easy adjustments the wheels are ok for 52mm wheels the bearings on the other hand say abec 7 but roll more like a cheap set of abec 3 to sum it up great on all accounts but the bearings be ready to spend a little more money on better ones if you're going to really skate this board ... show more

Good board for the price. Gave it to my son for Xmas to see if boarding is his thing. So far he's enjoying it, definitely has gotten our money's worth from it.

The only reason I knocked a star off was because of the bearings, they don’t spin well or smooth. Luckily I got some bones redz before buying this and I recommend doing the same, I also bought a set of cruiser wheels but the wheels that come with the skateboard seem pretty alright. The deck is decent quality but you can tell it’s not the best wood, trucks are pretty standard, I actually haven’t adjusted them yet because they’re a pretty nice loose but not too loose balance. All in all perfect for a beginner like me ... show more
