Perfect length, great comfortable and soft stretch. They’re not the greatest quality, but I’d say they’re very decent for amazon fast fashion standards. I use them almost daily, and wash often. I prob could have sized down since I keep dropping weight the more I exercise. I’m 5’5 and currently 173 lbs. Size 10-12 They are holding up great. UPDATE 3: I returned the 2nd order of size Large hoping to receive shorts like the 1st order of size Large. Evidently they have changed their product or it's made at a different facility. Below are the measurements of the last order. They're OK. I'm probably going to keep them and wear them around the house. The material is thinner and the legs are bigger. I will not waste my time on another reorder. Measurements laying flat of L Black Shorts: Waist (top of shorts): 14-1/4" Waistband: 3-1/2" Tall (1/2" elastic inside waistband at top of shorts) Hips (measured at top of pockets across on front): 18" Leg openings: 10" Inseam: 4-1/4" UPDATE 2: I liked these so much that I ordered another package of size Large. They aren't the same as the last shipment. The smaller waist band (1-1/8" high) inside of the wide band at the very top of the shorts is absent in the 2nd shipment. Now there's just a small elastic band about 1/2" high at the top. Also the tall wide waist band that was 4-1/2" high in the 1st order is 3-1/2" high in the latest shipment. Below are the measurements of my second order of size Large. They are larger in the hips & legs, same size waist & inseam length. I'm not sure if I will keep these because I have slim hips & legs. I do like the smaller band at the top. Measurements laying flat of L Black Shorts: Waist (top of shorts): 14" Waistband: 3-1/2" Tall (1/2" elastic inside waistband at top of shorts) Hips (measured at top of pockets across on front): 18" Leg openings: 10" Inseam: 4-1/4" UPDATE 1: I am keeping the size Large. Original Review of the XL: I ordered other shorts that were too thin, too small and too long (Sexy Basics soft bike shorts size L). These XL Black Cadmus shorts are somewhat large especially in the legs. Size charts seldom work for me as I'm short waisted (short torso) and long legged. I'm 5'2" tall, 145 lbs and I carry my weight around my middle. My measurements 38" Waist & 41" Hips. the inseam in these shorts (size XL) is 4-1/2". I don't have camel toe as other reviewers have commented. However, I am smaller in the hips & thighs. They are not too tight in the thigh region either. Hopefully this review will help someone with their purchase. If you order them too small I believe you will have camel toe as the wide waist band keeps the shorts pulled up to your waist. There is a smaller waist band (1-1/8") inside of the wide band at the very top of the shorts. I have other brands and they have the same small band inside as well. There's not much compression in the wide band at the top of the shorts . I was hoping there wouldn't be as the tighter the compression the more muffin top. They're comfortable and I feel comfortable wearing them in public knowing my butt cheeks aren't creeping out. My problem is the white ones are COMPLETELY see through. So much so, you can see my nude colored thong. I have to wear extra long shirts with that pair to make sure my booty stays covered

These shorts start riding up within the first mile of running. They're comfortable, cute, fit well and aren't see through. Would use them for a short treadmill run and certainly for a regular gym or lifting day. But if you're going for a longer run or doing prolonged cardio they disappear into the thigh void.
