So I decided that I needed to get a high-quality, fast, and short USB-C to USB-C cable to hook up my iPhone to the hub. I looked around and found the Cable Matters 1 ft. USB 4 cable and this is exactly what I needed. I tested the cable with a 4 GB video file, and it was about a second faster copying the file than a high-speed cable I bought recently from a competitor. I also like the fact that the cable is nice and stiff, which makes it lie flat on top of the desktop, either when not in use or connected to the iPhone. Got this for the new iphone and it is capable of moving files fast off the phone most of the time. Not sure if it is my laptop or the cord but once in a blue moon it runs at slower speeds. But usually replugging fixes it. Don't have a high watt charger to test it with but the 30 and 65 what ones definitely seem to charge the new iphone at max speed with not much heat. My new laptop was not working properly with my EGPU. I didn't think it was the cable I had, because it was working perfectly with a Dell XPS running a gen 8 Intel processor. But for whatever reason, my new laptop (Framework) with gen 13 would constantly lose the connection. Through trial and error, I decided it must be the cable. I really wish I had just tried a new cable at first because that was it. This cable is great, immediately fixed my problem. There is quite a variety of quality out there, and this brand had a good reputation so I gave it a try. Anker but also be a good choice. I would not recommend getting a cable any longer than this one for EGPU. For a regular docking station, it should be fine to go longer. I also would not recommend getting a no name cable, you just don't know what you're getting these days. ... show more
