Did exactly what I needed it for!

(Combo - Vertical) Was having trouble with the USB C cable on my 6400mAh KIWI design Comfort Battery Head Strap (B09XF69CR9) fitting loosely in the headset and falling out enough to stop charging. Thought it was just the plug being super loose and not being able to snap in but it was actually the opposite sort of problem. The male USB C plug on the strap was just a SUPER tight fit. Plugging it into the adapter required a lot of force but I'd much rather break a ~$5 adapter or $60 battery strap than the VR headset worth hundreds of dollars! The adapter plugs into the headset snugly and without spooky amounts of force being needed. Little bit of a pain to unplug as again, it is snug, but you can safely unplug it without breaking anything and it's going nowhere even during very active gameplay. It absolutely has sufficient power transfer to keep the VR set charged. Just got finished playing around 6-7 hours of H3VR and it performed flawlessly. The battery pack was able to fully drain before the headset started showing any drain in the UI. The smudges on the adapter in shown in my images are sweat btw, I played hard. They came looking clean and unblemished. Prior to my VR session I also made sure both adapters allowed the headset to charge. It held up be me squeezing it with the obscene amount of force the headset's cable needed to finally click into it just fine. Definitely seems to be a pretty solidly made product so far. Worst case the pack cost me just under $10 after tax and it comes with two different adapters that should both work fine for the task. If you're having trouble with your KIWI battery strap this is a very simple and affordable solution for the problem both in terms of time and money. I'd highly recommend trying this simple adapter before going the return and replace route. I strongly recommend plugging the battery pack cable into the adapter first THEN plugging the adapter into the headset. Don't risk the port on the headset by doing it the other way around.

Great cables for tight spaces

These Cable Matters 40Gbps flat right-angle cables have been a great addition to my setup. The right-angle design is especially useful when space is limited or when you want to keep cables neatly routed without putting unnecessary stress on the connectors. The cables feel well made, and the flat design makes them easy to manage behind a desk or around other equipment. The front of the PS5’s usb port placement is u fortunate. I have a T shaped usbc headphone dongle that, when plugged in, blocks the usba port. The 90° adapter allows the dongle to attach out of the way. Months of use and my headphones have never cut out, so for my use case they’ve been an amazing option.

These do what they claim. There's a number of other options out there but these were the smallest/sleekest, especially for the sideways one, so I gave them a try. They plug in really tight, both on the male end going into your device, and the female end accepting a cable/device. This can be really nice since you don't want adapters like this to be loose or flimsy. On the other hand they can be tough to remove. The female side is a bit more forgiving, so I imagine if you accidentally snagged a cable, it would pull out cleanly on that end. I don't really have anything that can push the power and data rates to the max, but did confirm they work up to 10Gbps and ~35W. No reason to believe they'd have any issues reaching the advertised rates of 40Gbps/240W. I don't have any USB-C displays, so couldn't test that. I used an external USB-C NVMe drive/enclosure to test the data throughput. I had a lot of problems getting the drive to show up when using either adapter. It would detect the drive but sometimes throw errors (a device which does not exist was specified) when trying to access it. Ultimately it did show up and speeds were the same both with and without the adapter, but it was concerning that it took so long to get it to work. Had the problem on two different computers, and always worked fine without the adapter. Maybe it was something else, but it didn't seem that way. I don't plan on using these for any type of external drive so it doesn't concern me, but figured it was worth mentioning. All other devices I tried this with - power input for laptop and a phone, mouse/keyboard/headset, simple thumb drives, etc - worked just fine. Same goes for a USB-C hub with other devices then plugged into that. Overall I'm pleased with these. Besides the issues with the external NVME drive, they did everything else I expected, exactly as advertised. They're compact and look good. They're also very snug for a secure connection.

I really like buying these from this specific manufacturer because it's a brand that I trust and I've always liked every product that I've purchased from them. This one is no different. I find these very useful for reducing stress on the cable you're using and reducing stress on the USB port on the device you're using. I also like these because it helps reduce the overall footprint of a device in a given space (particularly in landscape mode or if you have a device where the port is on the left or right side, or on top), by not having a cable protruding out. Maybe this is a design feature of it being USB-C, but it also feels like it detaches in a safer manner with this adapter, if you were to accidentally snag the cable and pull it from the port. I bought this adapter (this time) just to use with a tablet that I use as a laptop, but, it actually makes connecting to most devices feel simpler and easier, and, I actually just leave it on the end of the USB-C cable that I use to connect to most devices now. There's not much else to say, it's a pretty simple device, but, a useful one. My only complain is that I wish they offered a version that had the (neck of the) USB-C portion stick out about 1/16"-1/8" further. I've found that if you have a thicker case on a device or have a device that has a deeper or recessed port, this may not fully seat flat in it because the USB-C head portion doesn't extend out far enough. In most cases, it's ok and not an issue, but, some thicker cases or on a device with a recessed port, you may find that it doesn't seat flat in the port.

It good for data. but not for data and charging

So I have a Lenovo Legion go with a dock, I used this for the main host USB C from the dock to the Go. The dock has few usb dongles for keyboard and wireless mouse, and one USB C M.2 dock at 20Gbs connection. First thing i noticed, these adapters do get hot, and work ok for about 10 minutes, then randomly loose connection to my M.2 drive or anything plugged into the dock. This is while pulling 100W or so with the Go. I've tried both adapters, and they both do the same thing. if you are not trying to power something and transfer something, its ok and works as intended. But as soon as you draw more power through these adaptors and heat them up, they make things disconnect and reconnect. (side note, the stock power adapter does not have enough overhead to power the dock the accessories plugged into the dock, and the Go all at the same time, this is what made me buy a larger 140W USB Charger and these adapter for a cleaner look when not in hand held mode. All of the UBB C cable are rated at 40Gbps and 240W and work flawlessly without these adaptors.)
