This. thing. is. the. bomb. diggity! I have a bent painful coccyx and sitting without support is intolerable for any length of time. On my stool at work, at ergonomic desk chairs, in my car seat, everywhere. I'm schedules to fly from NY to CA in a week and was *terrified* about arriving and being unable to fully function for days, if not the entirety, of my vacation. This option gives me confidence and relief. I think I need to order a 2nd for backup. It's half of the cost of a low volume air bladder I had used as an active seat when sitting for prolonged periods prior to this injury. that kind of works for short periods of time better than anything else I've tried, but isn't really an effective solution for long periods when forced to sit (travel.) I've tried now 8 different support seats. Molded memory foam in various shapes and sizes, and 3 different inflatables for travel... This is one is: •easier to inflate and deflate •very comfortable and adjustable via the deflation valve which is usable while sitting on it to dial in the correct pressure for each individual •visibly superior construction and quality materials •rated to withstand twice my weight (140'.) •comes with it's own travel bag that is easy to stuff without breaking my fingers trying to sausage it in •extremely light weight •features a slip resistant material that should work on all but the most slippery pleather seating fabrics. My only complaint is that it's not available in bright colors to grab my attention I'm the scrum @ deplaning so I'm afraid I'll forget it despite efforts to remember. (I've left 2 of the previous low volume bladder I mentioned that are $60 to $70 each and only remembered once I was in the airport and couldn't get back on the plane fast enough to grab it. Hope others gained been my loss.) I do wish they rolled the seams- it's possible they could mildly irritate bare skin for long sittings in in heat, but I haven't tested this. I balled a little at the cost of this for ~$30 for an inflatable cushion - don't let this deter you. It's value, assuming it withstands use, is definitely greater than the average inflatable travel whatever that you're used to seeing or handling. If it fails, I'll report back. Very soft. Use mine to help my lower back tailbone pain and it works very well. It's very compact when deflated which is the best part and inflates in less than 30 seconds. I LOVED this cushion. I used it in my office chair (originally I was testing it for a flight seat cushion, but liked it so much better than the cushion I was using in my office chair that I kept it there) so I am sitting on it all day. Unfortunately after about five weeks of daily use, all of a sudden it won't hold air. I contacted the manufacturer and they only honor their warranty if you buy directly from them. Inflates and deflates quickly and easily. Bought it for a plane trip to help my back issues. Folds up and fits in a little pouch. Stayed inflated until it was time to disembark. Deflated, folded quickly, and dropped it in my personal item bag. Helped my back a lot! I would definitely recommend.

    • Solid buy, reduces pain effectively when sitting

Great cushion. Works for my coccyx injury and allows me to sit for extended periods. Also convenient when traveling, but the valve makes a funny noise when you are inflating it so you it draws attention when you are blowing it up on a plane so you get some funny looks when you set it on the seat. My guess is most people think it's a hemorrhoid cushion! Now I just blow it up before I board! But remember, it will expand when you get in the air so don't blow it up too much. Only other drawback is it slips on some seats so I use a pillow style on my desk chair and in my car (leather seats). The quality is great, and I love that you can inflate it to different levels depending on what you need. Overall a great item, and if there were half stars I would give it 4-1/12. ... show more

This cushion is pretty decent as far as butt cushions go. It's super easy to blow up and to release air to adjust firmness. Both inflating and deflating are done with the same valve/button combo, so that's super convenient. I don't know if the middle gap really allows for airflow to keep you from getting muckbutt, but I suppose it does because any gap is better than having a solid seat to make your crack sweat during long flights while captive in between strangers all flying to the same place. The cushion also came in handy when we were stranded at the airport and had to sleep on the floor. We used it under our hips while side-sleeping, which worked pretty well since we didn't have sore hips in the morning as the morning commuters were rolling in to catch the first flights and stare at us while they decided if they should leave us a dollar out of pity. Overall, I'd say it's been a good cushion. I'll be doing a long flight soon and will be able to further test it. ... show more

Unfortunately, these do not last very long. I have purchased at least two; the seams split in the pillow in my car on a hot day, and the other lasted only a few weeks before a slow leak occurred that soon became a complete and fast leak. I think the price is too high for the mid or long term value. These pillows are fantastic, however for travel. You don’t have to lump around a large pillow with you, but rather inflate it and squeeze it into a purse or suitcase. & they are quite comfortable. ... show more

So far so good. Both my husband and I use travel seat cushions when traveling on airplanes. We have used Travelon cushions for many many years, and both of our cushions just recently stopped staying inflated. Found that Travelon doesn't make them anymore and couldn't find anything that was close, so decided to try these. We've been testing them in our house and so far loving them. So much so I'm buying one for my office. And the best part is these are about a third of the size of the cushions we've had before and so much easier to pack while traveling.
