I am a delivery driver in Florida. The van gets very hot, and keeping a gallon plastic water bottle in my cooler wasn’t working, by the 5th hour, my water was already kind of warm. Plus, I’d have to stop driving and park to take the water out of the cooler, remove the cap, and hold the bottle with both my hands to drink. That takes a significant amount of time when you’re delivering. With this insulated water bottle, my water stays cold throughout my entire 10 hour shift, it has a straw which makes it easier to drink, I don’t need to keep it in my cooler, so I don’t have to park to take it out, I just grab it by the handle and sip. I work in the construction field in Texas and it gets HOT most of the year, so having cold water (and keeping it cold) is paramount. Since the advent of the double steel walled insulated "drinking tech" of the last few years, this problem has been solved. Unfortunately, your main name brands like to charge an exorbitant amount of money for basically the same thing other companies offer, such as this. This product works the same as the other high priced name brands, but for a fraction of the cost. Plus you get a few extras, noticeably the insulating neoprene cover/carrying case, straws and brush for the handled "straw lid". Couple cons though: Due to the straw lid, pouring water out of the spout is slow. You can't pour water out if the inner straw is attached and if the straw is removed, it's a dribble. Don't lose the lids inner o-ring or it will leak everywhere. I noticed a heavy chemical smell from the bottle halfway through the day of the bottle sitting in my truck. Seems heat and sun exposure to the LID creates this smell. I've washed it and kept it out of the sun and haven't noticed the smell coming back. Weird. Finally, while the cover works and is very cool, I don't think it'll last long term. While I do use it in a harsher work environment, I dont think the material is tough enough: The silver metal strap clasps, as well as the D rings they attach to are thin and flimsy. They have become unhooked on several occasions of normal walking with the strap over my shoulder and I would have dropped (and dented) the bottle if I didn't already have a firm grip on the strap already. The pull tab on the zipper that's on the bottom of the cover is already missing after 2 weeks. There's also a secondary "hand strap" that is sewn to the outside of the cover, for what I'm assuming is to help with drinking but I don't trust the stitching...at all. I opted to buy a third party gallon carrying bag for my 87oz container and solved my problems. It's a good product for the price, but definitely could use some improvements. ... show more

Doesn't hold ice well, melts pretty quickly. Easiest one of these products to hold out of any with the sleeve they have for it, which also helps with temperatures, and scuffing it up on a job site. I will say however, if you use the straw cap.. it WILL leak. Maybe not this time, but next time. Sometimes it holds okay, sometimes it doesn't. If I leave it on the floor of my car sideways there's almost always some drips out of it which is quite annoying. I've owned many of these types of bottles and this one is probably the one that has leaked the most. However the bads tend to outweigh the goods here. I bought this because my others kept breaking, and this one has not. Simple as that. So for that reason I reccomend it. Not too expensive to keep on a job site, not so cheap that it will break on the job site. Also easy to hold and not worry about breaking with the sleeve, so long as I'm able to order a replacement when it goes. ... show more

I bought this bc it’s very hot at the place I work so staying hydrated is a must!! I bought it mainly for size reasons so I wasn’t always running back and forth to get water and bc sometimes that’s not possible!! I fill it full of ice then add water at the beginning of my shift which is typically 4pm and I refill it at least once throughout the night but I always still have ice the next day or if I’m off even the day after that!! I like the water bottle overall. I chose the pink and aqua 40 oz. size and am happy with the color. I recently purchased the same water bottle in the 64 oz. size for my husband to use with outdoor work. His will keep the water cold for approximately two days - we used it in the heat at the beach and it stayed cold. His also does not form moisture on the outside while mine does. The water and ice that I put in the container in the morning is not nearly as cold later in the day. My goal in obtaining a water bottle was to encourage me to drink more water and so far so good. I do though wish that the 40 oz. size would equal the performance of the 64 oz. size. ... show more

For the size it is crazy efficient in all areas. I realize it is big and slightly heavy but I carry it by the rubber lid flap and it's just fine. Keeps water cold for at least 48hrs in a hot car. (Lost under seat and still had ice in it) definitely recommend for the price.

My only complaint is that it is so big it doesn't fit in the drink holder of my car. Also, it's very heavy...don't let it drop on your foot when it's full. It will hurt. Even with shoes on. I usually use regular cups and ice. Next thing you know your drink is watered down. This keeps drinks soooo cold that the ice barely melts. So hours later I can still take a sip and it’s not watered down at all. Ice lasts all day. Bottle doesn’t sweat at all. Convenient carrying handle. Amazing product at the regular price.
