  • Lots of good information with a little fill
This is an easy read and some great detailed information. Occasionally, there are some extraneous examples that could been left out or simplified but still 5 stars for me.

  • 11/10 Recommend!
This book was recommended to me by a friend of mine who has achieved a tremendous amount of success using the BRRRR method. As someone who is a complete rookie in this space, I was nervous to get started because real estate investment felt like such a daunting endeavor. That’s why this book is so great. David Greene does a phenomenal job of simplifying complex concepts and breaking the process down into digestible parts. His approach is humble and he speaks to the “average” person who is looking to make their hard earned savings work harder for them in an exponential way. If you’re contemplating getting into the real estate investment space and want to gain an excellent understanding of how you can do so in the most efficient and effective way, I cannot recommend this book enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more

  • Good. A bit wordy. May be difficult to follow for some.
This book provides a pretty straightforward easy to understand explanation of the BRRR method. I didn’t know much about it coming in, but I did have some background on investing and economic/financial terminology. I am also a lawyer that has dealt with real estate. I can imagine this book might be a lot to swallow for some. Even with my background, the book worked best for me when I started running the numbers myself. I formed an excel and started pretending I bought some houses. Then I started finding properties and running those through the excel. It definitely is not get rich quick. But you can see how over 15-20 years, you can really grow your wealth. (I also started doing test runs. I’d find properties; pretend I bought them; and follow to see if I’d made good choices. You will find that a lot of these properties are targeted by flippers or other investors; when they pop back on the market after the rehab, you can see how much they go for; and if the rehabs were financed, how much they cost). As other reviews mention, the book can drag on a bit. But, the nuggets are there, and maybe more importantly, it got me thinking about things I hadn’t considered. It eliminated some of the unknowns. It triggered some thoughts of my own. My wife and I plan on following this model, more or less. We are saving for our first house. Fingers crossed. ... show more

  • Good book with a few unrealistic premises.
This book is a great start for real estate investing and learning key fundamentals. It’s easy to read and doesn’t get overly complicated. However, some of the premises and assumed housing / rent numbers in this book are impractical in todays market. Great overall read, just understand market prices (average house cost, property management, finance %’s and closing costs) are generally higher than those stated in this book. ... show more

  • Amazing reference book for renovations
David Greene not only does an amazing job making a reference guide to renovation analysis, but he does deep dives in to estimate methodologies.
