  • The scope is great
The scope is very clear easy to get on target when you are hunting great low light I could see deer with it but I couldn't see them with my eyes

  • A tough scope with good attention to detail.
My first impression taking this scope out of those box was how heavy it is, compared to similar inexpensive scopes. I didn’t weigh it, but it feels twice as heavy at the Bushnell Elite I purchased around 20 years ago. That heavier weight means a thicker aluminum body, and that means more rigidity and more resistance to impact. It also suggests that the lenses are held internally by threaded rings on both sides, not by ridges rolled into the tube. That’s important, as it means they won’t loosen under recoil. There’s a lot of attention to detail here. The caps on the turrets are sealed with o-rings to keep moisture out. All the controls are have a good resistance to turning without being rough. The windage and elevation knobs can easily be returned to zero after adjusting by simply pulling out (or up), which disengaged them, and turning. Eye relief is good- important for magnum shooters- and the eye box is wide, allowing quick target acquisition. The reticle is a simple duplex, which I think is better for hunting than the complex military rangefinding and mil-dot reticles seen on many scopes today. Those are fine for competition and for long range sniping, but less useful for the typical hunting conditions seen here in the Great Lakes. Most of my shooting is with rimfire and airguns these days and I was happy to see that the scope focuses as close as 10 yards. The heavy construction suggested that it should be able to handle magnum spring air gun recoil, which quickly destroys most inexpensive scopes, but to be safe, I contacted Bushnell via their web site to ask. They quickly responded “Yes, it will, no problem.” PCP airguns would be no problem, of course. With the addition of a larger aftermarket focusing ring this would be a fine starter scope for Airgun Field Target. This scope may seem on the expensive side if you’re been buying $100-125 optics, but it’s really the entry point for better quality scopes. You can easily spend $1,200-1,500 or more on a good scope, and many do for competition or serious hunting scopes. The old rule of thumb used to be that you should spend roughly as much on your scope as you do on your rifle, and that’s still a good idea. The arrival of cheap scopes from various Chinese makers made it possible to buy scopes for a lot less, but quality still costs. I haven’t mounted this scope yet as I’m waiting on a pair of 30mm rings I’ve ordered. The current plan is to put it my Air Arms Pro Sport, a spring air gun that sells for around $830. It should make for a solid and reliable package, and it it doesn’t, you’ll read about it here. ... show more

  • Excellent eye relief + ergonomics + easy to zero in.
Simple but incredibly easy to use and comfortable scope. Its a second focal plane scope, and doesn't have an illuminated reticle. But despite these things, I was really impressed with the eye relief distance on this scope. Its incredibly comfortable to use and the eye box is roomy. The scope was easy to zero in, and has stayed zeroed since then. In addition to that, I found it to be very ergonomically sound. Windage and elevation adjustment knobs are where I naturally look for them, which is rare on a scope. Comes with a bikini lens cap cover for front and back. So while you aren't getting as many features with this scope that you might with others at this price point, the eye relief and tremendous optic clarity make it a worthy purchase. You can say it exceeded my expectations. ... show more

  • can't get it to sight in
proven rifle but can't even get it to sight in at 25 yards. Every shot looks like I am shooting buckshot from a shot gun. These used to be made in Japan and where top quality and now are made in South Korea and pure JUNK

  • Great scope!
What a great scope! I love the 30mm tube vs a 24mm tube, much clearer sight picture. Only thing I wish was included was a set of scope rings. Very clear picture and great eye relief makes this scope wonderful.

  • Great glass, nice features, reticle adjustment turrets don't function 100% correctly
I really wanted to give this scope 5 stars, and it almost made it. It is a little heavy, but for its size and features that comes with the turf. Instead of going over the features, and quality, I want to just get to the only thing I did not like about it. When I lifted the top turret adjustment knob to test its function, and pressed it down to lock it in place, it didn't stay down. It slowly came back up to where you would have to push it down to adjust the reticle. This is exactly the opposite of how it should function. The side turret adjustment works just fine. This won't affect sighting in the scope, or accuracy if you are going to just set it and forget it. If you are intending to dial yardage however, it just would not be accurate. To Bushnell's credit, I contacted them and they are sending a new turret adjustment knob. If this fixes the issue I will update my review. ... show more

  • Bushnell Elite 4500 4X 4-16x50 Hunting Riflescope with Multi-X Reticle is simple and good...
The media could not be loaded. Bushnell Elite 4500 4X 4-16x50 Hunting Riflescope with Multi-X Reticle is simple and good... It just has a simple cross hairs inside the scope, no mil dots, etc. The scope is very well made. It comes with a removable lens cover for both ends of the scope. It does not come with any mounting rings so those will have to be purchased separately. The metal is very well machined. If what you want is a simple crosshair with a 4x to 16x zoom then this is the scope for you. Easy to adjust the focus and the magnification and is well made so it won't slip, you have to move the rings for the rings to move, they are made to not move on their own. Very simple yet at the same time very elegant. Aside from the fact there is no mil dots and the scope doesn't come with any mounting rings this is by far the best scope of it's kind in it's price range that I have ever seen. Two thumbs up. • Excellent Low Light Scope
Have this on an Ithaca LSA 30-06. Excellent in low light, very clear and bright. Good eye relief. Usually a Leupold buyer but this is a very good scope.
