I love this desk. Yes, it took a few hours to put together. But, that’s understandable, it’s a big deal with lots of pieces. The instructions are incredibly clear and easy to follow. The desk is heavy which is a very good sign for furniture, it’s well-made and brilliantly designed. It looks fantastic and works great! The standup section with the locking intervals and the “soft lowering“ are perfect. I have a massive widescreen curved monitor with wireless keyboard and mouse on the standing section and it works perfectly and easily even with all that weight. The drawers provide ample storage and slide well. I wish it had some “cable pass throughs“ between the standing section and the return. But, the cables are easy enough to pass under, so not a huge deal. The paperwork listed the manufacturers phone number many times, it was extremely easy to find and although I never had to call them, I felt like if I had, I would have easily gotten the support I needed. The instructions were in perfect English, without even a single misspelling let alone vast amounts of grammatical and punctuation errors had this desk been built non-domestically. I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I’m certain it will last a very long time, it looks fantastic, I would buy it again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. ... show more

I love my office now!! I was surprised at how nice of quality this desk is! Very sturdy. My monitors are pretty heavy, so it does feel a little questionable when I have it in the standing position. No fault of the desk, as it states it had a 20 lb limit. And I’m sure I’m right at it. I have no clue why so many people on here have stated the instructions are difficult. Can you not read?? These were actually some of the best instructions I’ve had in years! Every piece and hardware baggy was nicely marked. Just read and it works. Also, though having two people would have made the assembly much easier and quicker, I did it all alone. My husband was sick in bed and I was impatient. Took me approx 6 hours by myself. I’m not great with tools and pretty slow, so anyone skilled in this area would be able to hammer it out a lot quicker. But again, totally doable for anyone 😊 ... show more

    • Beautiful and Functional BUT... Beware if Mounting Monitors

First of all, my hunt for a sit to stand desk has been long. I have always had an L shape with a hutch and have worked fully remote for 8 years now. I bought a knock off veridesk type converter so I could stand or use my walking treadmill, but it was very large and bulky given that I have 2 large monitors. I wanted something that was easier to lift and lower without sacrificing the L shape with a hutch and not having to spend another $400-$600 on a converter. I FINALLY found something that met my needs and in the color I wanted. Assembly: This took about 5.5 hours with 2 people who are very well-versed in Cam Lock system furniture to put together the desk and the lateral filing cabinet. Make sure to read everything!!!! You can use the standup on either side so be sure to choose that first before you begin. Mine came in 2 boxes each with their own assembly guide. I recommend reading the last steps and first steps as it wants you to assemble one piece before the other and has you not use a piece depending on your set up. We didn't see that and had to undo work which sucks after you've put the hole covers on. Let me tell you - THOSE ARE NOT EASY OR FUN TO REMOVE. We had to blash through two fo them with a drill because we couldn't pry them out. Also pay attention to the 5mm vs 3mm hole plugs. There are two sizes in addition to the cover caps. Look/aesthetics: I chose the light grey color and it is beautiful. The material is very smooth. The hardware looks solid and not cheap for the handles. I didn't have any scratches when it arrived nor did it scratch or dent during assembly. One thing I don't like is the gap of about 1" between the standing portion and the static portion. I understand why it's there but I don't love the look of it. Features: It has varying heights for standing and can handle the weigh of the mount and two monitors. I was SO excited to be able to use this, HOWEVER... if you have a true mount for your monitors vs. a stand, beware that it may not allow the desk to fully lower down. We are an inch to high with the mount tension brakets and will need to cut a U into the desk to accommodate which is no easy task with MDF. Functionality: I appreciate the multi level of the rising portion and ability to switch which side goes where. I am waiting on the hutch and appreciate that this has many supplemental pieces. The filing cabinets seem sturdy and the doors go in smoothly and evenly. Overall: I am happy. My prior desk was Bush and it has held up incredibly well over the last 8 years and has survived two moves while being take apart and put back together. I hope that this desk proves to have the same durability and quality. ... show more

*EDIT*: I have had my desk for over a year and still love it. It fits my needs and more. I did add metal corner protectors to all edges and they not only are functional but also add a finished look to the piece. *Original Post* Heavyweight MDF. Arrives in two heavy flat-pack boxes. The contents were well protected. Read everything carefully and know that you are going to have to disassemble a few things but it is planned that way. When you get to the standing desk portion, pay attention to where it is supposed to go versus where the instructions say it goes. We had to disassemble the attachment piece and move it because the directions were not clear/correct. Pay attention to the hinges. One is mark with RS for right side. Tools recommended: a couple decent phillips head screwdrivers, a mallet (so you don't damage the surface when attaching pieces to dowels), a hammer (for the dowels), wood glue (for the dowels, if you aren't planning on taking this apart and want a stronger build), a damp cloth to wipe up excess wood glue, some music, and a happy disposition because building something this big can be like playing Monopoly with your family... In the end, it took about 4 hours for myself and my husband to complete. ... show more
