The first one arrived with a broken side panel, I got a replacement that came with a broken bottom panel. Thank goodness I still had the other broken one so I could at least get 1 complete set. It is sad as I wanted to order more of this series to finish my study, now I’m pretty hesitant. I also have a broken foot so it is so much fun to handle this big heavy boxes by myself on crutches. Leave alone pack it back up, drag it to the front door etc so I could get the replacement. And then get it back inside to replace the broken pieces of the second one. Not very happy. ... show more

I bought this to match the desk and lateral file cabinet I have in the same color. The bookcase was far and away the easiest to build, only took me about 45 minutes. 3 of the shelves are adjustable, one is fixed. All pieces were there, instructions for this were very clear. No damaged pieces. It may be a little pricier than other units out there, but again I like the match. I did buy a separate solid wood unit for some of my heavier books, this will be used mostly for lighter books and display objects. Overall, quite happy with the unit. ... show more

If all your going to do is look at it than buy it. Sawdust,glue and paper is what makes this. Total China JUNK. Gave it 2 stars for the customer service as it was missing a part. Is it a book shelve case. NO! It is not. Says shelves are for 25 LBS. After 10 the shelves started to bow. The good, nice to look at. After thought, if it was not together, back it would go. Too bad it's not REAL WOOD. Guess if you want something made from real wood, you have to build it yourself. Really a zip tie to hold it to the wall. That was funny. So I see someone else recently posted a negative review about a side panel being broken. I have the same issue here. I was on the phone 30 minutes before they closed, number 10 in line. Barely moved up in line when I got cut off at 6:30pm, central time. So I haven't yet been able to replace the side piece. Bush Furniture, if you're telling us to Stop and contact you before reaching out to the retailer, maybe you should upgrade your phone system to keep the existing people on the line so you can "make it right" without having us call in again the next day and get back in line 🤬 Otherwise, it's a typical assembly for particle board furniture like this....just not very sturdy right now and not really a good value for my money. ... show more

The shelf is great, very pretty. It was a good price and shipped fast enough. It came with a tipping hook, which we appreciate. Con: I do hate the particle board backing and would have preferred to pay more for a wood back; it could be in two pieces if a solid piece makes shipping impossible, no one would know if the seam lined up with a shelf. The cheap backing really detracts from the beauty of the natural wood. I would have happily paid more for a sturdy and more attractive backing. I spent hours and hours looking for office furniture that looked good, would be hopefully durable, easy to assemble, and fit my space requirements. Unfortunately, some of these are hard to determine without having hands on - something that just isn't an option for these bigger items. In any case, I bought this with a matching set that included this, a file cabinet, a smaller box type shelf, and a full L shaped desk with hutch. This fit in perfectly with the set and looked great once assembled. Overall, the product was fairly easy to assemble and came well packed. The wood is a standard particle board for most pieces. All you need for assembly on all of these different furniture pieces is a philips screwdriver and a hammer. I would recommend also having a partner to help assemble as some of the pieces can be a bit big. This cabinet was super fast assembly and decent enough durability. It requires a lot of nails to get the back on securely. It is nice since four of the five shelves can be adjusted to many different heights. As with any shelving, you want to put the heavier stuff on bottom, but this shelf is pretty sturdy on its own. Overall, the quality is better than the light IKEA type of furniture, but less than a high quality solid wood build. I would recommend it and haven't had any problems with it after using it day in and out for several months. ... show more

I bought three of these for my wife's room. They're not hi-end, but for the money they do the job we needed them to do quite nicely and seem to be of a better quality than some I've come across. They arrived fairly quickly (about a week). All the pieces were there and the instructions are actually simple to follow It took about 30-40 minutes each to assemble (advise two people) and they are reasonably stable without the wall anchor (we have no children). Time will tell, but so far, so good. ... show more
