This is my third time purchasing bookshelves from Bush furniture in the past 3 years. I keep coming back to them because of how sturdy they are. And how nice they look. I went through a lot of cheaper bookcases from walmart and IKEA over the years. Inevitably the weight from all my books would cause the shelves to bow. I purchased my first set of bookshelves from Bush furniture (the light brown ones) a few years ago and the hold up even today. Still sturdy. Looks nice. And no bowing of the shelves whatsoever. Despite the obvious weight you can see I've had on them for some time. I've since bought 2 more sets of book shelves 2 years ago and just recently. The quality has remained the same. They are very sturdy. They look very nice in your room. No shelf bowing. And they are very easy to assemble. The media could not be loaded. This Shelving unit is nice and heavy and could have been a great fit but the quickfit screws that hold it together DO NOT stay in. It was very easy to assemble but falls apart when you try to move it. The part that is supposed to screw in to the top and bottom don’t stay in. The quickfit screws stay locked into the sides just fine but pull right out of the top and bottom. The one I purchased is straight up defective. It didn’t even last an hour put together before I took it apart and sent it back ... show more

Not very easy to put together unless you can get down on the floor to assemble. Until I got the back nailed on all the pieces kept falling apart. Nothing actually hold it together without the back being nailed on. I would suggest glue in the shaft pieces for the top and bottom before attempting to move or complete the shelving. ... show more

I wanted to add an electric fireplace for the built-in cabinetry in the living room of my new house. The size of the opening would not accommodate available fireplace cabinets. Bush Business Furniture is pretty decent IMO. This was my second purchase, my first being a desk. Not solid wood, but high quality materials nonetheless. If there is a fault, the instructions for ALL their furniture need improving, and the shelves specifically need perforations for an optional hole in the back for cables to go out. In my case the bottom shelf holds books and the top shelf holds some books as well as a few external hard drives on the end. The hard drives are routed to the router on top, which hosts a Plex media server. I had to push some of the nails out for the routing. ... show more

It took a few minutes to figure out assembly because there are pictures only, no words. Once the process was determined, it only took a few minutes to assemble. Phillips screwdriver and hammer are needed. Looks like the picture and arrived when promised. I would recommend this product

Arrived on time, super easy to assemble and it's nice and sturdy. Looks good, was packed well. Mine was a little bit lighter than I thought but it still fits with the room. I'm curious as to why the instructions say not to set anything on top of it (it warns that the max weight is 0 on top) my only issue was that I think it's too expensive for what it is.
