We have a deck off of our living room, and these is a large oak tree that looms over it, which fills our deck with leaves each fall. While our deck isn't very large, I don't want to just sweep the leaves over the edge to fall to the ground below, where I'd just have to rake them back up anyway, so these scoops come in very handy. The package contains two scoops; one for each hand, where they're used to grab the piles of leaves and place them into a bag. I will say that these are not as sturdy or of as fine of quality as you can find in other brands, but these do the job, and should last a while if taken care of.

I found these leaf scoops very useful during fall yard clean-up for picking up big piles of peony stems. I was able to move large amounts of plant material to the back of a pickup in record time. They also worked well for hosta leaves. It was easier than moving the piles with my hands. The scoops are made of thin plastic, but were sturdy enough for my needs. My hands fit comfortably in the handles even while wearing my work gloves. They worked well cleaning out my perennial beds

These work good for picking up yard debris. I have lived without these all my life and haven’t missed them. They work ok so I keep them in my yard cart. Now that leaves are falling they will come in handy. They are different. I’m not sure they will stay a staple in my yard work but I’m using them for testing purposes and they do work.

I always feel goofy using these, but they help grab more and shove efficiently in bags. Especially if leaves are wet. They spare my gloves. I've used some giant green ones in the past that were hard to store and were very stiff plastic...needless to say the handles busted immediately. These yellow ones, even though lightweight, flex enough to not bust on you. Plus the hole in top makes easy to hang from a nail in garage for off-season storage.

The ones I had before worked great, until they didn't. These ones are very useful for picking up light leaves and garden debris, because you can place the stuff right into contractor bags (which is what I use, because they are so reusable). The only reason I give these four stars is because the plastic is lightweight, and you cannot pick up compost as it will split the plastic due to the weight of the recyclable food waste (black gold!) Still, every fall gandener looking to scoop leaves from around bushes and hard to get places will find these useful. They also act as mini hand rakes.

Was hoping for something a bit larger and more sturdy. These work for grasping small bunches of leaves, etc., but too small and flexible to pickup larger amounts. Also rather slippery surface, so can be somewhat difficult to hold onto.
