There are many excellent improvements compared to the original Butterfly. Most notable is the height and depth of the seat. My son just turned one, and he is in the upper 90th percentile for height and weight. He looks much more comfortable and has plenty of room to grow. The Butterfly 2 also sits more upright, which was my main complaint with the original. Adjusting the footrest is super easy with just one button and can be done one-handed. The under-seat storage is spacious and fits our diaper bag perfectly. I really like the added pocket behind the seat—plenty of storage for outings. Another great improvement is the larger, thicker front and back wheels, which are easier to maneuver. This upgrade makes for a noticeably smoother, more comfortable ride. Next up is the fold. The folded size is nearly identical to the original, and the folding method is the same. The fold buttons are both located on the handle and can easily be used one-handed. Now for the complaints. First, the bumper bar is sold separately, which is a big drawback. The bumper bar I purchased for my Butterfly 1 is not compatible with the 2, which means that’s another $55 I’ll have to spend. Second, the color. It’s listed on Amazon as “Taupe,” but on Bugaboo’s website, it’s called “Desert Taupe.” In the photos online, it looks very light, but in person, it has a deeper, pink earthy tone. I thought it was just me, but I asked friends and family, and most agreed that the fabric has a bit of pink to it. It’s most noticeable on the inside of the canopy. So, it’s not completely taupe and could be a downside if you’re looking for a more neutral tone. Overall, the Butterfly 2 has a lot of great improvements and is still a great, compact, lightweight (16-pound) travel stroller. I definitely recommend it.

This Bugaboo Butterfly 2 Travel Stroller has a 2button click to fold open and close and is beautiful in the color green. It easily opened and closed to about the size of a backpack in a few seconds and the leg recliner doubles as a carry handle. It clicks into place so I felt confident that it was sturdy and ready for my son. Overall it's not too heavy to carry when I need it but it's not in use. The removable seat pad adds cushion and comfort and will make messes easier to cleanup but I've been lucky so far. It's super easy to take the seat upright to naptime positions and the overhead sunshade moves to several positions also. I personally loved the underneath basket area as it helped me keep my hands free from holding a diaper bag or smaller purchases at the store making this very functional for every day use. Overall I am happy to have something so versatile living in a big city and as someone who travels frequently, this is now my go-to stroller.

My sister-in-law just had her second little one recently and I have been on the hunt for a gift that she could get a lot of usage from and take with her where ever she needs to go. I saw this new Bugaboo Butterfly 2 stroller pop up in my feed and knew this would be the perfect gift for her since she loves to travel. The stroller itself is very compact and lightweight which is great for her since she has a small frame body type. So the easier to lift and carry things the better for her. The color of the stroller looks stunning in person. I got her the taupe color and looks amazing with the canopy down to block out the sun or when baby is sleeping. The frame feels solid and it folds up literally within one second by the push of a button. What is great about this stroller is the fact that it is airplane friendly, so she now has the ability to travel as she pleases with no worries about stroller issues.

This stroller is very well built and feels extremely sturdy. It folds up easily and is still fairly lightweight to carry at 16lbs. I did not take in on a plane yet but we did use it for travel on a train and it fit easily in the overhead storage bins once folded. The underseat storage is very roomy and can hold a lot. Also the sun visor worked well for its purpose at keeping the sun out of my babies eyes. We had a few spills so far and the fabric is easy to wipe down and liquids seem to roll right off without soaking in. Overall this is a very well made stroller with great build quality and I would highly recommend it.

This stroller folds so easily with one hand and it steers like a dream! I am so impressed with how easy to use this is and put in and out of my trunk as a smaller person! My daughter is super tall and her feet aren’t even close to dragging! Love this!
