I returned my light blue skates bc they were dingy and the bearings looked roughed up. I read the reviews and ordered a different pr of skates; yet, I can’t get how great these felt on my feet, I loved the snugness, how they rolled & the lightness of the skates. The media could not be loaded. what’s not to love about these skates? okay maybe the laces they come with aren’t the greatest but these are liter comparable to the Moxie Lolly’s in my opinion. They are so nice. I don’t really care for the logo on the side, that’s kind of ugly. I also plan on dying the skates darker soon because the light blue shows *every* fall and scuff. But they nylon plates are great and study as I’ve been jumping like crazy in them. The wheels are super buttery for the outdoors. The toestops are adjustable and BE CAREFUL because those fly off sometimes if you aren’t careful. But overall they are great skates and i changes the laces to Derby laces and I love them now!🛼 ... show more

I was an avid roller skater in my teens. I haven’t skated for years. I put these on and they were comfortable and took no time to get back into my groove, (even after 40 years). I have not tried them outside. I’ve only been on an inside smooth surface.

I love the look of the skate. The comfort is perfect. The sole has a memory foam snd padding around the ankle/chin. Easy to control movements. The wheels have just enough bounce you need trying to OG skate. I'm a newbie at this style of skating so I need all the comfort I can get. The only issue I have is that the left front stopper keeps coming off. Other then that for the price, comfort and style they get 5stars. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’m not a pro skater by any stretch, but I have been rollin’ for awhile. I have three other pairs from other brands, and while Chaya is still a respectable 2nd, BTFL has totally changed my skate game. I was in love by the time I’d laced up my first boot. 1) Comfort: if I’m not comfy on my skates, I’m screwed. These beauties are very pliable, and will eventually mold to my feet. They have padding where I tend to put the most pressure - until now I’ve been wearing my own ankle protectors, but no need with BTFL. 2) Wheels: these were the tipping point for me ~ I’m going from street/derby style to artistic, and these are exactly what I needed to add some grace to my moves. They’re the perfect width I need for dance, and the rounded edges make transitions so much more intuitive. 3: Heels: I don’t wear skates with heels. I’ve always had derby skates (they usually look like a skate shoe) - I think I thought they were more low key (plus I have fallen arches - heels HURT.) I take it all back. The little adjustment in balance helping all my turns and practice drills look 10x better. This whole brand is great at maintaining a retro feel with understated features that are essential to a quality skate. I have flat feet so I wear insoles, but I’m totally flabbergasted how much these heels in particular have helped my posture. 4) Style: I’ve skated Chaya, Moxi, Bont, and Riddell, and these just win over everything I’ve worn so far. I didn’t realize how beautiful they were until I was already wearing them, but these are genuinely lovely skates. I’m so excited at the adjustable toe stop and the extra ankle support, and the laces are long enough to wrap around through the back loop if I want more stability. BTFL, 12/10. I can’t say enough. Whoever you are, if you’ve looked at these skates more than once, please trust me when I tell you these are IMBECCABLE. ... show more
