I clearly did Not see picture number 2 with having to clip on my ipad to this keyboard. I thought this was an all inclusive shell design that I inserted my ipad into, so it looked like a laptop. So.... now I have a product that is three times the price of others except this one has no protection for my ipad and even if I bought a slim cover, it wouldn't fit in the designed groves. Unbelievable buzz kill. Bought it on Tuesday, got it Friday evening... Two Thumbs down! UPDATE - I did add a cover to it, (normally my cut out would of been better except the rubber stretched whilst cutting it). Unfortunately, even with this cover, when I went to take the photos, the ipad slipped out of the base, so its a good thing I had the cover on it. I changed my review from a 1 to 3 star, as it is my bad that I didn't see photo number 2, but hey, by the looks of it, another purchaser thinks the same! So for what it is, its a 3, but to me a 1, now with the clips losing grip. I just 'hate' leaving negative feedback and potentially affecting people's livelyhood/income! In conclusion, I'm requesting a refund now. There's another online for $65 with the case, I haven't even used my ipad or this device as it really just makes me mad looking at it! ... show more

This is NOT a sleeve, or a protective cover, or a folio. It is a VERY high-quality keyboard that provides protection for your screen when it is closed. When it is open, it is an extraordinarily high-quality keyboard and stand, offering infinite viewing angles. The keyboard itself feels like an Apple device; maybe better. And the slot-based interface maintains a very strong grip on the iPad so it cannot slip out. Apple's own stand does not hold the device as snugly. This is the fourth Brydge keyboard that I have bought for my iPads. These are great keyboards. They almost feel like MacBook Pro keyboards. They attach easily do your iPad and have some nice features like backlit keys and special function keys like play, pause, and so on. We are a little heavy, but that is a feature because it gives your iPad a good solid base. I’ve tried other keyboards that are now gathering dust in my gadget box. Keyboard works really well / it has option for backlighting and battery life is great. Fits iPad well and has snug, secure fitting clasps. I do wish it has protection for back of iPad like the iPad Pro models do. Keyboard feels sturdy and keys remind you of old Mac days. I expect this thing will stand test of time as it feels so sturdy and build quality is top notch.     • Good keyboard - Slow to connect

I actually like this keyboard as it does turn the iPad into a “laptop”. It is exactly what I was looking for and I find the typing experience to be pretty good. I’m actually typing this review on it. It’s heavy enough that the iPad can be tilted to extreme degrees without tipping over. The hints are just the right stiffness to allow for easy adjustment but firm hold. Build quality is good but it obviously isn’t an Apple product. It just doesn’t have that “feel”. The use of Micro-USB over USB-C is disappointing. The color is a pretty close match to my Space Gray iPad. Battery life has been good. I have only had to charge it once since I got it over 6 months ago. It’s easy to take the attach and detach which I like because tend to use the iPad “naked” a lot. Here’s the issue. I don’t know if this is a Brydge specific problem or a Bluetooth/iPad issue but it is quite irritating none the less. The keyboard goes to sleep after about 10 minutes of not pushing any buttons. Obviously this is to save battery and I wouldn’t have a problem with it except that it takes a good 6+ seconds to reconnect every time. I frequently find myself wanting to type and nothing happens for at least 6-8 seconds. The onscreen keyboard comes up when I hit a text field and I have to press a button on the Brydge and wait that 6-8 seconds before I can type anything. This was slightly annoying at first and I thought I would get used to it but as the months go on I find myself just as irritated if not more so. I haven’t seen anyone else commenting on this issue. Would be a solid 4 star product if not for the connection delay. ... show more

    • Great Keyboard. Little Protection.

The media could not be loaded. First, gold is rose gold which works for me cause that’s what I have. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. It is very well constructed, but the iPad slides out of the sides very easily. When it is folded down it takes little effort to slide it out. A small child could slide it out with a light touch. I thought there would be a mechanism that keeps it tightly in place. I also thought that it would serve as a cover to protect it, like a less expensive model I ordered, but that’s my bad for not fully researching. I looked at a demo video and thought it covered the back. The iPad is fully exposed. I do have a screen protector on the glass. I was hoping for protection and a notebook style option for this hefty price. That said, it connects to Bluetooth effortlessly, unlike any other Bluetooth keyboard I’ve used. The backlit feature is great! The keyboard is small, but I expected that. It will take some getting used to. I love the features, and the quality of the keyboard. I hate that I’m not getting a more secure fit and protection for my iPad for the money. ... show more
