I purchased these for trap kit drumming . The bottom sole of this shoe is not grippy rubber. It's slick on smooth surfaces and is slippery on hi-hat or bass drum pedals. They seem to be well made, good material and are very comfortable. They also arrived in well cared for packaging. Each shoe was in it's own cloth bag and in a nice box with a Bruno Marc card.

The souls of these shoes feel like hard plastic. They, literally, slip out from under me on a smooth floor of any kind. They feel like toy versions of a shoe. The only reason they get 2 stars is they ARE comfortable and they were cheap (about 20 on sale). Otherwise I'd ship them back today.

When it comes to comfortable kicks, there's Bruno Marc, and then everyone else trying to copy their iconic footwear. I was already familiar with the Bruno Marc Oxford mesh lace up walking shoes, which offer a marriage between comfort and style. But they've outdone themselves on these new kicks. First off, you get treated to a minimalist style. Because they aren't overstated, you can rock these with anything from a pair of khakis, to baggy sweats. I've long been a fan of solid black shoes, from the black on black Chuck Taylors, to AF1s. But I'm absolutely loving these solid black barefoot shoes. The fit is true to size, which was a terrific surprise considering I normally have trouble finding shoes my size in many stores. Their wide, comfy if you have a larger foot. They're super lightweight, it barely feels like you've even got them on your feet. And yet they're still durable, reliable, and made to last. I really appreciate that I can wear these with a pair of dickies, some khakis, jeans, or even just my all-black sweatpants and hoodie ensemble. And that's something you just can't pull off with most sneakers. They look great, feel even better, and I've already been getting compliments about them. All that, and for under thirty bucks? Can't beat that. Listen, don't worry about what I'm saying in this review. Don't worry about what others are saying. Because end of the day, it's all about what YOU like. So here's your next move. Add these to your shopping cart. Then check out. They'll show up in the mail in just a few short days. Best of all, Bruno Marc and Amazon give you a whole month to decide if they're for you or not. Good shoes. Not super great quality but for the price its about what I expected. Not water proof and wouldn't wear them for working or exercising but make a nice pair of casual walking shoes. Lots of room in the toes but the mid area is a bit tight, be wary if you usually wear wide shoes.

I was wondering what "barefoot" was doing in the title of these when I ordered them, but when you take all those words together: barefoot, casual, zero, drop, minimalist.... you see they're trying to tell you something. They are practically form-fitting, almost like a sock with a tread and laces! Although they do have a fair amount of structure, these sneakers have a low-profile "Euro" look to me, and could almost pass for dance shoes! Okay, I'm exaggerating. But even a simple Vans slip-ons has a more masculine vibe to them. I don't mean to disparage the shoe, it's just the impression I get... You have to like that mesh pattern, because it's covering most of the shoe. They are slightly on the tight/small side for me, and for some reason they didn't make or offer a half size (11.5), which probably would have fit perfectly. A decent, casual, affordable, low-profile sneaker not made for heavy use.
