  • The only shoe I walk in!
Many years ago I went to a sporting goods retail store to buy a really good sneaker because I was having trouble walking & standing without causing worse ankle, knee, and hip pain. I also need an orthotic for arch support and to prevent pronating. The rep who took care of me was a runner, and she watched how I walked, then recommended Brooks brand. She gave me 3 different styles to try out with my orthotic. The first one was pretty good, but the second style, the Revel 2, was immediately the best comfort & support I’d ever tried I tried on. I did try on one other which was a good fit, too. But the Revel 2 was hands-down the best shoe I’d ever tried. Over the years I walked an untoward number of steps, both indoors & outdoors. I soon ordered another pair so I could keep one exclusively for inside the house. These have lasted almost forever, the padded collar being really the only sign of wear & tear. They have been through elliptical training, pavement walking, dirt trail walking, winter walking, tai chi, and go on every vacation. I started keeping one pair in the car so I would always have them in case my feet began to hurt in other shoes. When it was finally time to get new ones, the Revel 5 was the most updated incarnation. They were reasonably priced for the quality, but not nearly as well-made as the Revel 2. The fabric & materials of this Revel 5 shoe are lighter and less sturdy. I don’t think these will hold up the way the others did. Thankfully, the fit is just as good!! My 4 stars rating is because the materials are inferior to the Revel 2. But as far as comfort goes, the fit is still 5 stars to me - LOVE THESE SHOES, CANT LIVE WITHOUT THEM! ... show more

  • Lightweight for brooks with good support
Size: 8 Color: Black/Blue/Pink
I prefer very lightweight shoes but lately have realized I need some better support for my knees now that I'm running about 4 or 4 times a week. These strike a nice balance. They are still light enough that they don't feel heavy when I run, but are supportive when your foot hits the ground. Nice ground feel. Also my foot fits very snugly in the shoe. It felt like my foot fit into a puzzle piece vs some shoes where it's a pain to get your foot to feel situated correctly. ... show more

  • Love these shoes!
Size: 9.5 Color: Lilac/Ebony/Black
I get many compliments when wearing my Brooks Revel 5 shoes! I don't do gym workouts often, but I wear them for walks and work, which sometimes requires much walking! My feet are not too tired after a full day. I have to wear inserts recommended by a podiatrist, so the comfort is somewhat altered by the insert. After trying other brands I have come back to wearing Brooks due to the wider toebox and being an overall great shoe. ... show more

  • Perfect for my Plantar Faschitis
First off, I walk more than I run, but I do walk about three or 4 miles a day. These shoes are fabulous. I have plantar fasciitis, but this is really helped with that. Switching shoes does help as well. I love the variety of patterns in the style and I will be back to Brooks again.

  • Excellent running shoes
Size: 5 Color: Black/Blue/Pink
I love the fit of these shoes and they are excellent for running and walking. However, I wish I had gotten a different color. This color is too bright for wearing anywhere but walking. I would have preferred the grey shoes, but I hate to return items. Returning anything is my worst experience so I will keep these shoes for walking which I do every day. I try to get in at least 10,000 steps. ... show more

  • Comfortable shoe but came damaged.
Size: 7.5 Color: Cadet/Thistle/White
I bought these shoes to wear for my job as a nurse, on my feet 8 hours a day. I just had knee replacement surgery so I needed something comfortable and supportive. These shoes have been a god send. So comfortable, like walking on clouds but also sturdy and supportive. The tie dye pattern on the shoes are so cute and I get so many compliments. My one issue is the shoes we’re delivered damaged as you can see in the picture. There were big gouges in the foam of the shoe, this was very disappointing to me. ... show more

  • Brooks running shoes
Size: 8.5 Color: Black/Blue/Pink
I love them!! Beautiful colors and well made and very comfortable only I bought a half size too big. I’ll be othering an 8 which is my normal size. I have small but wide feet and wish this ran in 8 wide so ordered 8 1/2 which was too big and my feet were sliding around too much. Since it’s mesh like I believe 8 will work and these seem true to size. ... show more

  • Worth the money!
I work 10-11hr shifts and was having trouble finding shoes that would hold up to them. I’ve heard great things about brooks, but was nervous about the $150 price tag in the event they didn’t hold up. I saw these for much lower and thought I’d give them a try. They are definitely worth the hype and hold up to my long shifts! Only issue is I feel I’ve worn them down pretty fast, but still way more comfortable and cause less discomfort than any shoe I’ve tried previously. I’ll just have to buy another pair to alternate between! ... show more
