I'm not a runner. I am a person who suffered from achilles tendonitis for a number of years. This was one of only two brands I found that gave me real relief from the constant pain. They always fit true to size. The are flexible but not mushy. The toe box is just right. My toes have plenty of space but are still supported so my step stays as natural as possible when wearing a shoe. Great traction. Even after they've aged they haven't become slippery. For achilles tendonitis, I needed a shoe with a thicker midsole so my heal doesn't drop too much as roll through my step. The midsole is the thicker middle part of the sole of the shoe that typically span from about your arch back to your heal. It cushions the second half of your step when one heal hits the ground as the other foot comes up for the next step. If you have a thinner mid sole, you heal hits the ground harder with less cushion. The pain it was causing in my achilles was excruciating. This is one of 5 pairs of Brooks I've purchased in the past 8 years and I have loved every one of them. They're pricey, but worth every penny. Great shoe. So comfortable. I recently broke my foot and had to find sneakers for comfort until it heals. These shoes are perfect. Soft and sturdy. I did size up. Normally I wear a 6.5 but got the 7. I will definitely buy these again.

I love these Brooks Glycerin 22 shoes! They are extremely comfortable! They take the ease off my Plantars fasciitis. I would definitely recommend for those with high arches! I thought the colors were beautiful. I bought a size 6 and thought they fit perfectly.     • Great for walking
I’ll start off by saying I typically like a max cushion, almost squishy sneaker. I walk 10,000+ steps a day and max out around 16k some days. Previous shoes I’ve liked were the ASICS Gel Nimbus 24 and Glide Ride Max. I just had a pair of Nike Vomero Plus, which I liked initially, but the extreme rocker and lack of support under the cushion led to me hurting my knee and foot. I wanted to switch to something more supportive but still cushioned, and landed on the Brooks. Though not anywhere near squishy, and not as cushioned as the previous shoes I’ve worn, they are way more comfortable for long walks and I’ve had no foot or knee pain whatsoever. I supinate and they do help me walk more neutrally without being uncomfortable. They are very stable and I like the height of the heel. It’s not too tall and the rocker is not too extreme.
