I was hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of sneakers for walking my dog, but I've been plagued with relentless plantar fasciitis pain in my right heel, and it has kept me from being active the way I want to be. I was in constant, 24/7 pain, even when sitting. It was excrutiating, and I just couldn't take it any more. I joined a support group on Facebook, and tons of people recommended these shoes specifically. I was willing to try anything at that point, so I used the "try before you buy" program to see how they worked for me. I felt a difference as soon as I put them on! The most noticeable difference is that this particular shoe gives your foot a pronounced tilt forward, taking the constant pressure off your heel and shifting the impact forward to the ball of your foot. This brought immediate relief! Also, I had purchased some Dr. Scholls Plantar Fasciitis insoles previously to use in other shoes, and I noticed that the insoles that come in these shoes are almost identical to the thickness and shape of those, except that the ones in these shoes have an even higher arch support. I can walk in these and not feel like I'm walking on rocks under my heel. When I sit, there's not the constant, throbbing pain that continues. I experienced relief from the very first day I put them on, and it has gradually improved. So I didn't even need the full 7-day trial to know that these were golden! So if you have this type of foot problem, feel confident that these shoes will help you ease the discomfort. Also, I have a very narrow foot, and I was pleasantly surprised that this brand sells narrow widths. My narrow (and thin from top to bottom) foot usually makes it quite difficult to get a good fit in any type of shoe, but these are magical! This was my first Brooks purchase, but I will definitely be back again when I need to replace these shoes. I highly recommend them! I'm also pleasantly surprised that such a solid, supportive shoe is so very lighweight. I didn't expect they would be so airy, but they really are so great for everyday wear.

I normally wear a 7.5 wide and purchased a 7.5 double wide due to having a Stress Fracture. These are the best sneakers I have ever had. They are breathable, comfortable, wide not only on the toe area but on the top which makes the sneakers so much comfortable. I am a little chunkier on the top also. I can wear these sneakers all day and my feet do not suffer; no more pain while I walk. The sneakers provide the support that is needed to let my foot heal. Highly recommended and worth the price. They are very well made, the color I chose is vibrant and they look good with anything I wear. Including wearing them with a nice pair of jeans and a blazer. I would like to see them more colors; especially since I work in a professional environment. All black perhaps or all in white; etcetera. If you have problems with your feet and you are wide but a little chunky on the top, I recommend the double wide. These truly fit as expected; choose your regular size.

These are great because they're wider than most other shoes (even without ordering a wide size) and they don't hurt my feet. I just had ACL surgery so I'm putting a lot of weight on one foot since one knee isn't as strong yet. All of the other shoes I tried, like Air Max and Ultra Boost shoes, were very narrow and still caused me pain on the outer side of my feet. These aren't as bouncy as I would have liked, but it's something I can give up for comfort. The only thing is that you definitely need to size up. I normally wear a 8-8.5, but after reading reviews, I went with a 9 and there's some room at the top, but it just ensure I have enough room. Even with the size 9, it doesn't make my foot look super big. I would recommend these to anyone. We'll see how they hold up over time.

I have spent lots of money over the years to find a shoe that helps my heals, arch and/or all over feet be pain free ! These are the winner ! I have several pairs of UGLY shoes that cost over $100 a pair that did not live up to the expectation of what was promised in the advertisement. I took a gamble on the Brooks because at least these would be cute.. to my joy these Brooks Ghost are both nice looking and give the relief I was looking for. From long days/nights on my feet at the dirt racing track or just simple everyday walking they have been a pleasure to wear ! Much better on my feet! I do have comment on the short shoestrings though, could have used an extra inch or so for sure. Not sure why they still have the shorter strings but not a deal breaker. Worth every cent ! As you can see in the photo they ARE getting well worked in !

I have one leg/foot that has been exquisitely painful for years due to old sports injuries. I had tried every brand of running/workout/casual footwear seeking respite from the pain with NO luck. Then, one day, I found a shoe shop specializing in adaptive footwear as well as regular footwear. I tried on pair after pair of shoes .........not one pair feeling comfortable....until.....a clerk brought out a pair of Ghost 14, BROOKS running shoes. IMMEDIATE RELIEF FROM MY NAGGING FOOT PAIN. I now call them my "Magic Shoes" and that is the reason I ordered another pair of them.....this time through Amazon.....as the Adaptive Shoe Shop is some distance away.

I’ve been wearing the Brooks Ghost shoes for several years now. I was concerned about reviews. I ordered the size I ordered for my last pair which I had decided I’d like 1/2 size bigger for more room at the toe. I just received they grey/oyster color and they seem to fit great. I do think I feel like there is more substantial shoe there so after I’ve walked in them I’ll modify with results. I often received compliments when I wore my primrose & gray shoes. I was tired of primrose and actually wanted the same shoe but with light blue zag. That wasn’t an option. (I did try a whole size up because of the reviews and that was too big.)
