  • Highly recommend, especially if you’re trying out trail running for the first time.
I wasn’t sure if I would like trail running so I bought these because the price was right compared to others. I have plantar fasciitis and was a bit worried they would bother me but they are very comfortable! Our trails are wooded and dirt/clay based with a creek through them and steeper hills, these shoes have amazing traction and I’ve been able to pace comfortably without worrying about losing my footing. ... show more

  • Comfortable and perform well!
I wore these brand new, fresh out of the box hiking for hours in Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon. They were immediately comfortable, didn't rub or feel too stiff, and kept my feet safe and happy all day long. I used these on both wet and dry trails, sandy trails, loose rock, wet rock, and to walk around town on pavement over the course of a week. I have wider flat feet and osteoarthritis in the balls of my feet. Generally the only foot pain I ever have is the arthritis, and my complete lack of arches from flat feet causes me no pain or issues. These shoes are great for my feet. I ordered a size 8 because I can usually wear an 8 or 8.5 in Brooks and be good to go. The 8 felt too short, so I returned for an 8.5 and they were perfect. They held up to a lot of really rocky terrain with nary a scuff and great traction. I hosed the sandy dust off and they are ready for the next hike! Very pleased with these! ... show more

  • Comfy trailers
Size: 6.5 Color: Zinnia/Eclipse/Nomad
Super comfy out the box. I have slim feet and most shoes are wider than I like, but these are great. Like the colors and the style, they feel grippy and will be trying them out in Hawai’i soon. They’re also lightweight enough to pack in your carry on

  • good traction
Size: 7.5 Color: Peacoat/Pink/Biscuit
I walk twice a day five days a week and once a day on weekends. I will still go out if it's raining as long as it's not coming down too hard. Got these to wear in moderate rain. They're more comfortable and easier for me to walk in than the lightweight snow boots I have to wear in rainy weather (because they're warm and they have good traction). These aren't the most cushioned shoes, but they're more cushioned than my snow boots, and therefore more comfortable to me, so I'm able to walk at my normal pace. I walk a little slower in my snow boots, and I can't wear my arch supports in them. I can wear my arch supports in these. They aren't waterproof, so you have to avoid puddles, and of course they're not great if it's really pouring out but if it's really pouring out, I'm probably staying in. I just don't want to slip and fall and break a hip or whatever because I chose to wear Brooks Adrenalines (my walking shoes of choice) on a rainy day. They're great for what I wanted them for. ... show more

  • Fantastic traction
Size: 11.5 Color: Peacoat/Pink/Biscuit
I am absolutely positively NOT a runner! I’m just a thick chick with a boat load of foot issues. I like to try and hike with my family and wanted a pair of super grippy Brooks. I have an AFO (ankle and foot orthotic. This can make finding shoes that accommodate the AFO a little tricky. I ordered a size 10 and while my afo fit, it was very uncomfortable wearing it in this shoe. The good foot fit was perfect and very comfy. I ordered an 11.5, winner winner chicken dinner! AFO fits perfectly and comfortably! These are light and very comfortable. They clean up very easily and have fantastic traction too! Will definitely be buying a replacement pair in the newest version of this when the time comes to retire this pair! ... show more

  • Great shoe!! Perfect for me!
Size: 9 Color: Pink/Flambe/Cobalt
Great grip on rocks and roots! I hiked around 16 miles and got zero blisters or hotspots! Which is huge for me! Wide toebox, and lots of room for the toes. Has a good arch in it for me! Definitely keepers in my book!

  • Great all around hiking shoe
Size: 7.5 Color: Peacoat/Pink/Biscuit
I bought these before a trip to Acadia National Park. The shoes are comfortable, durable, kept my feet dry on wet terrain, and were very supportive while being lightweight. The color options make these a stylish choice for wearing around town after hiking/outdoor activities.

  • My favorite brand trail runners
Size: 9 Wide Color: Black/Ebony/Yucca
I’ve tried every brand of trail running shoes and I always come back to Brooks Cascadia. I’m more of a trail walker, than a trail runner, but I average 15-20 miles a day on the weekends with shorter hikes during the week. I hike a variety of hard packed dirt/rocks/smooth granite/scree/ and pumice both on and off trail. These shoes are comfortable right out of the box. I have wide feet, so I usually order a 9 wide. I’ve tried the regular fit before, and they fit, but I prefer to have a little more room to wear wool socks if needed. The only negative thing I have to say is that the sole wears out pretty quickly. I go through a pair every 3-4 months but I think this is normal for the mileage I put on them. ... show more
