  • My new favorite waterproof shoes. Great for narrow feet
Size: 8.5 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
I'll start by saying that I wear a typical women's size 8.5. I have narrow feet and a very high arch. I get on the trail almost every day. So, I put a lot of miles on my shoes. The best thing about these is they are the most normal looking waterproof shoes I have ever owned. Most are large and clunky and feel like frankenstein boots. These don't look any different. They are very comfortable and soft. Not stiff like most. The flex well and seem to be fine for both long trail time and really technical (I can be barefoot on the trail for the like one month of the year that it's not too cold and there aren't a lot of bitey things...so, I find trail shoes that don't have a lot of flex and freedom, not only makes the trail harder...instead of your foot molding over a stone, the stiff flat will shift you to one side...but also makes me hurt everywhere). So, I rarely wear my waterproofs unless it's freezing and raining. Not these. I would wear them anywhere except hot and dry (need more breathable shoes). Which brings me to another difference...most waterproof shoes are really really warm. Even for me who tends to have cold feet. These were a little bit warmer, but not stuffy and not hot. The waterproofing seems really good. Something that any trail nut will understand...I was trying to cross a small creek and the rock flipped and both feet went into the water up to mid calf. But, as soon as we were out, there was none of that sloshing or squishing that normally happens when you get water in your waterproof shoes. It seeeeemed as almost no water got in. Which might be possible because the collar is well padded in the back and seems to wrap around the ankle really well. When I got home, only the toes of my socks were a little wet; which might have just been sweat. I would highly recommend these shoes with one caveat...if you have wide feet or for whatever reason you need a really stiff footbed, these may not be right. My feet are really narrow and they fit perfectly. So, they may be choking to a wide foot. ... show more

Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
Love these trail runners. Very comfortable, true to size. Nice treads.

  • Get a full size larger
Size: 8 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
I ordered a size 8 cuz the description said they run true to size. They were small and tight. I exchanged for a size 9 and they are now perfect!

  • Great comfort, terrible color
Size: 10 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
I have a history of plantar fasciitis, foot injury, and knee injury; so extremely picky about my footwear. I prioritize comfort and function and these deliver both. So far using for walks on uneven grass and gravel trails. Shoes are very comfortable, stable, provide good traction, and keep my feet dry in the dew-covered grass. Footbox is roomy, good arch support, and heel stays in place. So why take off a star? While comfort and function are my priorities, and I'm keeping them since they excel in those areas, I just can't overlook how ugly these shoes are. Wish there were color options as there are for the non-waterproof version, or that this shoe was a more neutral color. The orange accents aren't exactly universally appealling, and the orange stripes on the footbed are truly awful. ... show more

  • Not Your Standard Brooks
Size: 6 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
If you are a Brooks fan, like I am, you will feel a difference in these shoes. These have Gore-Tex so they are a little stiffer then my Adrenaline ones. However, they are a really solid shoe for outdoor activities like hiking. The have great support and look like a typical Brooks shoe from the top. The bottom has great hiking type tread on them. I have worn them a couple of days now and I think they will suit my needs for hiking and activities where I need a waterproof shoe. ... show more

  • Water proof excellent, comfort on the edge
Size: 9 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
They are not as comfortable as regular Brooks they are very stiff and I have been trying to break them in for about 3 weeks. It is the top of my foot that is bothered by them. After a few weeks I can manage wearing them for short store trips etc. Not an all day hiking event. They are very water proof though! ... show more

  • Comfort and waterproofing
Size: 9 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
Bought these for trip to Scotland, England and Iceland. Only wore them a few days at home before traveling. They kept feet dry. Provided good traction while walking during rainy days on cobblestone streets, uneven surfaces, when moving indoors from wet to dry slick floors and during short hikes. Very happy with these! ... show more

  • Perfect for the Camino de Santiago
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Coral
I am walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail next month and can’t wear hiking shoes, so these are perfect trail shoes. I have pins and plate in my ankle and am very finicky about shoes that rub on my ankle. I wear only Brooks shoes for running and was ecstatic when I realized they have a trail shoes, which will be perfect for my walk. Been breaking them in trail running and they are great. I always order one size up from what I normally wear because I want to leave room for swelling, so I have never had an issue with my feet sliding around or uncomfortable rubbing. ... show more
