I HATE shoes!! Especially tennis shoes. They are incredibly painful to wear so I’ve resorted to believing that my feet are defective and I just had to deal with the pain. I buy shoes 1.5-2.5 sizes too big just to get some relief. That causes issues as well. Trying to navigate the world in what feels like clown shoes is in itself exhausting and I get no support from these too big shoes. After months of desperate online researching and a couple podiatrist appointments, I found out I have incredibly high arches and “regular” tennis shoes aren’t made for me. All these years of forcing my feet into poorly made shoes just added to my excruciating pain and was the reason my ankles are so weak. My online research led me to these shoes and they truly are amazing! Length wise I’m a 7 so I bought a 7.5 extra wide and they are perfect! There is no numbness/burning in my arches any longer! My pinky toe nails are growing back because there is actual room in the toe box. And most incredibly, the pain has decreased exponentially. Before I’d be in so much pain by the end of my shift, I’d be hobbling. I would dread quitting time because once I sat down to make that 14 minute drive home, I knew I’d barely be able to walk from my car to my house. The anticipation of the pain I’d be in trying to make it those 10 feet to my door was agonizing. These shoes are not visually appealing to me, but they are the relief I’ve so desperately needed for the last 30ish years. As soon as I put them on, I felt stronger and stable. I’ve broken both ankles and suffered numerous sprains due to my foot structure and wearing “normal” shoes. These Brooks shoes are silencing my fear of my ankles giving out and that in itself has helped me so much mentally. And the pain! The pain is almost completely gone!!! I can finally sit down after being on my feet for a couple hours and not have to give myself a “get through the pain” pep talk to stand back up. My right hip would hurt so bad, I would cry. All of the hip, leg, and foot pain are easing up and I have these shoes to thank for it. I LOVE these ugly shoes and they have greatly improved my quality of life. There was some pain during the first week or 2 but it’s not worth mentioning any longer. The adjustment period for my feet to get used to the shoes was no where near my normal pain experience. So, if you’re experiencing numbness in your arch area, weakness of the ankles, and toe crowding, I HIGHLY recommend giving these shoes a try. ... show more

I love Brooks sneakers. I have arthritis and plantar fasciitis and these are the best out for walking. I’m a mail carrier so can walk any where from 5-12 miles a day. These sneakers do not last at all. Bought a pair in October and they are already falling apart.

I got these for winter wear as leather is better than mess in winter. It will take a bit to break them in as leather is stiffer. Overall they are really good.

I love white kicks and these are cute! These pair of Brooks have a nice bounce, some height with a platform and overall, it's a good look with leather uppers. There are additional fabric pieces to loop your laces along the tongue of the shoe to keep everything snug. I love them...

I am returning them (Brooks Addiction walking shoes) because they have a very audible SQUEAK with every movement of my feet. This is apparently because of inferior man-made materials instead of the leather upper they were previously made with. I have purchased at least 6 pairs of these in black and/or white over the last 25 years and only now have i been disappointed. They were my favorite but i am dismayed now as to which brand to buy for my fussy feet. ... show more

My feet were hurting in my AF1s. These are a very comfortable shoe that I can wear to the office, or out and about. I tried lots of chunky white leather shoes and these were my favorite!
