It is coming up on the two year anniversary of my ordering these shorts. How sweet, I know. But what You, good stranger on Amazon, want to know is, "How good are these shorts?" And after using these near daily for the last 700 odd days, I feel I am in a good position to answer that question. The feel: These shorts fit snugly, not too tight, but definitely a closer fit than traditional running or workout shorts. They have a stretchy feel, almost like thin sweatpants, but light and breathable. And like sweatpants, they are remarkably comfy. I found this to feel much better than the standard synthetic materials I was used to. Usage: I first bought these shorts to train for a marathon. I am sure I have ran well over 250 miles in these as well as used them for other purposes. Not only did these also become my gym shorts, but I also purchased another pair of these to use for bedtime because THEY ARE SO DANG COMFORTABLE! Additional Pro: *The zippered pockets on the side are useful for storing my phone, keys, and/or wallet while I run and workout. Since the material is snug and stretchy, it holds the items fairly in places so they don't jostle about much while you move. Cons: *The drawstrings are more of an inconvenience. They aren't really needed because of the flexible fit of the shorts, and they have a tenancy to come untied or get pulled out altogether from the shorts while in the wash. Also, the aglets (plastic at the end of a lace or cord) come off after a few washes. However, these shortcomings didn't interfere with the shorts. *After two years of use, the zipper on one of my pockets finally broke. *After two years of use, I am finally noticing some small holes forming in the material. Conclusion: I started this review giving these shorts 4/5 stars. However, after reviewing everything I've said and considering what I've gotten out of these shorts, I am bumping it up to 5/5. Are they the best shorts out there? No. But they are remarkable for a $20 buy.

6ft 200 lbs. I usually wear a large. Bought these in large. Fit as should. Comfortable. Pockets are at a weird angle. Would buy again though

I’ve been using these shorts for years, just for music festivals due to pockets having a zipper. It’s very comfortable and pockets are deep enough to store a lot of your valuables. Zipper pockets makes it harder for pick pockets at music festivals to a point where they probably won’t bother with you. Been in groups that had their phones stolen with me next to them, but mine being completely safe. Highly recommend these to my music festival friends.

The material is nice and comfy. The stretch on the waist is good and there's no loose threads or anything. Definitely not cheaply made. The issues I have are with the actual design of the shorts. Specifically the placement of the zippers. I bought these so I could have a pair of shorts for running with pockets that my phone wouldn't bounce out of, and these do just that. However when actually using them it's near impossible to close the pockets while running. They put the zipper so that it opens at an angle and from back to front. It works okay when trying to open the pocket but when trying to close it during a run it's near impossible. The angle is just so awkward and because it's from the back you need to use both hands to seal it, otherwise the fabric just bunches up and the zipper gets snagged. It wouldn't be such a big deal of the zipper worked the other way around, because in its current form you need to reach your far hand basically to the back of your opposite thigh to hold on to the fabric and pull the zipper closed. Very annoying and sometimes I've had to stop mid run just to get the zipper back closed. So if I want to change songs or look at the stopwatch on my phone it can be a real pain in the butt. Anyway if you're not looking to do running or cycling or something like that these would be perfectly fine although I imagine still a little irritating.

I just reordered two additional black BROKIG Men's Sidelock Gym Workout Running Sport Shorts with Zipper Pockets after having bought two pairs last year. These are my all time favorite exercise shorts for at the gym and at home training. Great for cardio classes, resistance training, and my favorite hiking shorts. The shorts are totally comfortable, easy to wash and maintain, and looks good. I'm 5'9" at 194 pounds and the large size fits perfect.

I bought these for Father's Day since my pops has been looking for comfortable shorts with pockets. He loves them because the pockets aren't on the front where sitting down can be an issue at the gym when your phone and keys are in your pockets. So he really appreciates the pockets being on the side with a zipper :) Also the shorts are lightweight and comfortable to wear in the hot summer weather. Mother dearest also likes them because they don't look baggy and they fit my pop's figure well. So mother dearest doesn't mind if pops wears these shorts with a button down or a nice dress shirt on their outings together. Overall I think I extended the longevity of my parent's marriage with these shorts hahaha! Great purchase!
