My transportation-obsessed three-year-old LOVES this set. We have a little crane that he can use to load and unload the cargo from the train cars, and he has had hours of independent play time with this set. Note that the two cars that come with it are slightly shorter than average, and the helicopter doesn't fit much more. For instance, you can't quite fit the wooden Ashima engine with one of the included train cars. But the wooden Thomas will fit with one car. ... show more

One of the best toys of Brio family. My 2 and half years old son loves it. Cargo area is spacious and fits rail wagons, cars (2 hotwheels in a row), animals, etc. With a little push the big propeller turns around for some seconds and allows you to move it and make it "fly". Some other nice details are the back ramp and the pilots cabin, the 2 little wagons (fit on Brio railways and you can use them as part of a train). It's made of a sturdy shiny plastic and wood. Design and quality are excellent. Update after almost 4 years of many many flights and misions. Helicopter is intact in spite of many falls.     • Its popularity took me by surprise
I bought this for my 3 year old grandson, and was unprepared by how popular it would be with him. Even after several months, it's still often the first thing he'll ask for when he's over at my place. Very imaginative play. And seemingly unbreakable, despite all the moving parts (like the rotor).

This is a great toy for my helicopter and train loving kids. The front is designed to pop off instead of break, we just keep loosing it in the playroom since the kids can't put it back themselves.
