This is very good. I placed mine close to a wall, north facing. The effects work best with low light/nighttime and the lights shine both forwards (and backwards to a lesser extent). Hence reflecting from a curtain or wall works best IMHO. The unit comes with a remote control, which functions well. It does NOT with a corresponding App, but at the price, that seems reasonable. The unit is rated IP65 (water resistant). The lighting animations will cover a number of holidays: Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Thanksgiving. ... show more

The hooks on these lights are *tiny*. They're too small for any curtain rod I've ever seen. If you look carefully at the pics others have posted, you'll see what I mean. Didn't try plugging them in as I can't actually hang them anywhere since the hooks are too small to use.
