  • Fast shipping ,great price
Very fast shipping, great price for motor and packaged very well. Motor runs excellent. Choke is very fussy though. Fit excellent on 25 year old Xmark industrial mower. Very easy to wire up wen u go on line. Original motor was a pull start 15 hp. New motor was electric start 19 hp.

  • Exmark 34 inch Engine Swap
The media could not be loaded. I was having many problems with my old motor on my Exmark 34 inch. I kept buying new parts just for something else to end up breaking down. So I decided to go with this motor and hasn’t disappointed thus far. Turned on the first crank. Has some good power and does the job. Will update a year from now to tell how it’s holding up. ... show more

  • When your Kohler Courage 19HP blows up...almost perfect replacement
Never been a Briggs fan, but it was the best deal I found to replace a Kohler Courage 19Hp that was the stock engine on my Toro timecutter Z4200 (engine is no longer available...seemingly for good reason) Thought they were a superior engine to the Briggs at the time, but the 2007 model literally blew apart shortly after I noticed a small film of oil from a hairline crack in the upper part of the crackcase. Though it was well maintained, serviced, and stored indoors, I guess 15 years is the lifespan of them. I expected far more, but...I'm old. Didn't rate longevity on this purchase because that remains to be seen. I was very pleased with the ease of installment. The mounting bolts matched up perfectly, the clutch and pulley assembly as well, even to my amazement the wiring harness plug matched up to the Toro plug on the mower. Plugged it in and it all worked. Definately happy about that. The only modification I had to make, was that the new engine required a separate Choke cable. The stock Toro\Kohler had one throttle\choke combined cable, where you push it past full throttle to choke it. I maybe could have modified the factory linkage, but I chose not to mess with that and simply put on a separate choke cable. That's the only thing that kept the ease of installation from '5 stars'. I also shortened the throttle cable by an inch and a half or so to avoid a potentially to sharp a bend in the cable. Probably could have left it as is, but... Anyway, all in all, pretty happy with the nearly 'plug and play' replacement of the Kohler Courage 19 ... show more

  • perfect fit
Was plug and play for my ST1842 Snapper tractor. Not a mechanic but took me about 4 hours to take old motor out and put new motor in and have running. Was also speedy shipping. Am very satisfied with the purchase especially when a new tractor was around $3000 and a dealer wanted almost $2000 to swap motors. ... show more

  • Runs like a champ
Purchased it to put in my 10 year old craftsman rider, easy to install, you tube is your best friend. Using full synthetic oil in it. Unknown about the longevity, but its lasted 45 min of runtime. Great alternative to replacing the mower. I had the old engine out and new one in in less than 4 hours. I am a novice at mechanic work. I did remove the flexible oil drain hose and added it to the new engine. After mowing for the third time, it does idle a bit funny, it seems to get bogged down at times for no reason. there is a bit of power lacking for going up hills. Its still a strong engine, I'm not disappointed at all. I will try to address the idle issue in the near future. I will be changing the oil after the next mowing and see if there is any issues in there. ... show more

  • Perfect replacement for old 31P777
My 2004 Craftsman DYT4000 was toast. Every time I mowed, the crankcase would fill with gasoline. I'd replaced the carb multiple times, checked valve clearances, changed the fuel pump, added a shut-off valve, changed the head gasket, and it was still filling the crankcase with fuel every time I mowed. I finally bit the bullet and bought this engine to replace it, since it seemed to be the closest match to the original configuration. Sure enough, it was a perfect fit. The wiring matched perfectly, and the new exhaust even fits under the hood with plenty of clearance for airflow/cooling, so I pulled out my old exhaust. My mower runs like new, and so much more power than the old, worn-out engine. Now I can resume mowing large rocks, bending blades, and breaking spindles. ... show more

  • Great replacement for OEM Lawn Tractor engine
The engine in my John Deere LA115 finally gave up the ghost, after doing a lot of research into other brands I decided to spend a few dollars more for the B&S as a direct replacement. Installation was a simple swap, 4 bolts to the frame and swapping the spindle from the old engine and I was back in business. Much cheaper than spending $2300 on a new mower. In true UPS fashion it was delivered upside down despite all the "This Side UP" markings and oil was all over the inside of the box and engine. There were no instructions at all included and no indication if the engine oil was topped off prior to shipping which would seem like an odd thing to do, or if the oil that had leaked was just residual. There was not a bottle of oil included which added to the confusion. I drained what was left and refilled just to be sure. It fired up on the first try and has been running great. ... show more
