I am a big fan of Brickell products, and this lotion is another hit for me. I have very dry skin in some areas, especially my arms and feet. I find that most moisturizing lotions are greasy and leave an annoying residue, no matter how much it;s rubbed in. This lotion doesn’t, and it’s exactly what I have been looking for. I will add that a little goes a long way, and it took me a few tries to get the amount right. Also, I would classify it as “water-resistant” but not “waterproof” - which is totally fine with me. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a daily moisturizing lotion that doesn’t make you smell like a woman or a medicine cabinet.

I ordered this for my husbands extremely dry hands. Typically, he won’t use lotions because of the long lasting greasy feeling but I thought it would be worth a try, and worse case scenario I could use it. It is packaged very nicely to accommodate for swelling pressure and loss of product during shipping. The bottle is completely shrink packaged for a full seal. He opened the bottle the next day to use on the top of his hands, only. Rubbing the tops of his hands together to spread evenly, I got a whiff of the pleasant scent-Lemongrass, maybe? The smell piqued my interest enough to try as well. The lotion has a light, uplifting scent, the weight is medium, a perfect consistency to cover and absorb within a few minutes. It didn’t leave our hands a greasy mess, but softer and hydrated. This could easily be a unisex lotion. The smell isn’t overly masculine or feminine, won’t leave you holding your hands out waiting to absorb but does leave your hands feeling refreshed.

Coming from Dr. Squatch and Every Man Jack lotions (after years with Dr Palmers before realizing the dyes) I thought I had gotten used to "an expensive $18 for a bottle of lotion" and especially the Squatch would really test me with "is it worth it" syndrome. I saw the amazing reviews for the Brickells and decided to splurge the $25 for a bottle to try. I must say I love the lotion, and that it seems to be 10/10 on the ingredient profile. I'd rate the EMJ a 7, and the Squatch an 8.5 for comparison. My biggest hold up is the price, and the fact that you get half or even less product for an even higher cost! With the Palmers, $15 would last me a daily upper body lotion for 6+ months on one bottle - so long I'd never think about it. The EMJ and the squatch are a bit smaller at ~12oz and also went noticeably shorter at roughly 2-3 months - even though they were 30% more expensive by volume. Now the Bickells does spread moderately far in terms of a nickel sized amount of each, yet has 30% less product than even the Squatch - and in just 3 weeks I have used half the bottle (trying to be conservative too!). So admittedly it does hurt that to stick with this great product I'd nearly be paying twice the money per month to use it over the EMJ and potentially the squatch too. If you have a skin sensitivity and limited options though, this is 100% for you. I can see this being a 12/10 would recommend and be thrilled to buy a lot more if it were more like ~$15 for one of these sized bottles, but at $25 it stings something fierce for the average income folks!
